Me personally it’s hard to grade the draft. So many players taken especially rounds 5-7 that I have never heard of. This year only a few Connelly was one and the OT in round 7. Rest of our picks I have heard of or read on
Jones. B.
Yes a B. Why. Because he was well coached and is NFL ready Give him a chance with a run game and some actual weapons
Lawrence. A-
He got the minus because he isn’t to much of a pressure guy. Gettleman is right. How many times I’m any game do we see pressure come hot from the edges and the QB just steps up comfortably in the pocket throwing a good ball. A push up front prevents that
Baker. A+
Move up into round 1. This kid is in my opinion already our best corner. Jenkins has a lot of pressure now especially beyond 2019. Baker is a very good cover Corner and fits like a glove in Betchner D
Xman C
I like Walker better from Georgia or if the Giants surrendered there 6th they may of been able to move up for Ferguson. Kid has skill though but I don’t expect to see him unless injury hit the group or on 3rd down. His knock is vs the run
Love A+
Smaller kid probably why he fell to round 4. But has everything you want in a corner. Fast quick very good in coverage and is physical. Oh. He tackles. Clean kid too. Perfect for the nickle
Connelly. C-
I just don’t get this pick. Edwards was available and the kid from Notre Dame his name slips my mind. Maybe makes it on special teams but I just don’t get this pick. It fills a need saving us from a D
Slayton. C+
He has size and speed. But he can’t separate and that makes no sense to me. He has a ton of drops too. I think Dixon from Ohio stare was available. Not 100% sure but this kid needs to prove me wrong
Ballentine. B-
Pretty good find for round 6. He has all the skills to be a good solid man to man corner. Just lakes consistency. Most of his problems are coschable. But a so teams ace. Gunner and cover guy. He makes the roster easily with Haley Jenkins baker Beal Love Ballentine Haley 6 good corners
As asafo-Adeji. C
He was shown by mom how to work hard his entire life. I did see he is under rated. Not much on him. But a huge need. Remmer anyone?
Slayton B+
This pick I don’t get at all. Not because he stinks but at the east west shrine game he was said by most was the best player there. He also moves well for a 300 pound man. Good hands and power. Can rush and defend the run. 8th DT on Walter football. How did he skip to round 7? Am I missing something
Best pick. Baker 30
Best value Love round 4
Biggest steal. Slayton Round 7
Overall I’m happy with the draft. I’m sure most will agree except Jones. My only point I want to make on that is the kid is pro ready and has everything needed to be NFL QB. And yes. His arm is stronger then a lot of greats. Montana Brady and even our own Phil Simms
A- Why. Because Love, Baker, Slayton saves this draft
