My other sleeper of the draft is Hakeem Adeniji, OT/G,. At OG/C soloman kindley is being slept on methinks also....
Re: Adenjii....He just needs a year to develop, add muscle and get stronger, refine some things etc. methinks....Lot's to like about that kid IMO. Dane brugler form the athletic agrees with me... pay site... You guys should consider joining... good stuff in there.... e.g. >>>>
Hakeem Adeniji, OT/G, Kansas (6-4, 302)
A player who isn’t receiving enough attention for his productive Senior Bowl week is Adeniji, who consistently stymied defensive linemen in one-on-ones. The Kansas product did an excellent job maintaining a wide base and keeping his hands inside to strike, recoil and answer whatever was thrown at him. Adeniji showed that on this practice rep versus Syracuse’s Alton Robinson, using his lower body to stay square and his rapid strike to counter with his hands. Whether it was the quickness of Arkansas’ Melvin Agim or the power of Strowbridge, Adeniji consistently rose to the occasion. Most of the NFL feedback I received is he will likely go on Day 3 of the draft but bumped himself up a round.
AND just to show you guys what you get if you pay for the Athletic is insider info like this. I'm not here to promote them but I think if I'm going to post clips of their articles it is the least I can do....I don't think they would mind...
So now we have a name to like that nobody else is talking about, as a late rounder UDFA that actual NFL scouts would consider>>>>
Jalen Elliott, DS, Notre Dame (6-1, 205)
While Troy Pride certainly flashed, his teammate from South Bend was one of the more consistent defensive backs all week. Occasionally on film, Elliott looked like a fish out of water in man coverage, giving up huge separation (see 2019 USC tape). However, that wasn’t the case during practices, showing enough fluidity and route recognition to stay attached to tight ends or backs. Elliott was also one of the few who consistently competed with Trautman, like on this rep during one-on-ones. The NFL feedback on Elliott entering the week was all over the place, from fourth round to priority free agent. But after his week in Mobile, there will be at least a few teams that push their grade into the solid Day 3 category.
