Here we go folks. Post your boom or bust buyer beware prospects in the 2020 NFL draft.
It's hard to be wrong this year....Pretty Much the entire draft class after about half way through round 1 lol, so have at it!
"If you have a hostile attitude towards the world, it will treat you the same way." IF you are always whining, expressing yourdissatisfaction with the world, there will be more reasons for you to be dissatisfied. If your attitude toward the world is predominantly negative, then the world will be a terrible place to live... the opposite of course is also true. A positive attitude is the most natural way of changing your life for the future. YOU REALLY DO GET WHAT YOU CHOOSE...

CJ Henerson... this guy frustrates me. Man this guy is so patient in coverage and such an easy glider... he can stickwith guys really really well... a natural man cover guy... but he densest do anything else! kinda frail, can't get off blocks... gets pushed around... not a big hitter.... he won't be a safety either if he can't start hitting.... I see teams moving him into the slot where he may excel.... but as an outside first round cb? I don't see it!
Its frustrating as heck b/c i really want to love this guy but....
One guy called him the best cb in the draft... You tell me>>>>
here is an article making excuses for poor play in his first game this year>>>>
I think if you want a slot guy, then sure.... but those aren't first rounders usually
but even then what is see is what it says in the articel... "lack of dog" and "lack of effort"
Pass on CJ henderen fellas
CJ hendersen = SOFT! Buyer Beware!
GR
PS even if he goes on the NFL and is great, what he put on film there is not what we want to see and not what we want to gamble on. 2 cents

Ok so famous draft analyst matt miller says CJ hendersen can tackle.... hmmmm who is right? me or matt? watch the game I posted above and you tell me. I saw a guy on film that shyed away from sticking his head in there ever chance he got. I saw multiple opportunities for him to get in on tackles and he just was not a willing tackler. But maybe I'm crazy... You guys tell me.>>>>
(I think I like lb zach baun though)

Dane Brugler names his overrated guys
1. julian Okwara from notre dame - <<< this year's rashaan gary. will test great the combine. atletic freak, but the production is not there. More of an athlete than a polished pass rusher at this point
2. Raekwon Davis of alabama- <<< mamoth dude, but doesn't see a first round player. doens't give enough as pass rusher, doe not think he has the pass rush instincts
3. jalen hurts OK anticipations is not there. holds ball too long, misses open receivers, forces throws, telegraphs throws etc., says he is more of a third 4th round type of a guy

Is that why he does not give full effort tackling on tape?

When you hear the term “overrated” I’m sure plenty of things and athletes come to mind. For this exercise we will try and identify five players who I think are a little hyped in this draft class. Let’s dive into the five guys who will have a hard time matching the hype with production in the pros.
Tua Tagovailoa – QB – Alabama He’s not even the best draft eligible quarterback in his conference. So how am I to sit here and not put him on my most overrated list when he’s considered by some to be the best prospect in the class? Tua is good, but he’s not great. He is surrounded by one of the best offenses in all of college football and he benefits from that. For example, 72% of his passing yards this season have come after the catch. So, he is putting up gaudy numbers, but the tape shows more of the credit should go to Jerry Jeudy, Henry Ruggs III, etc. I am not saying that Tua is a bust, I’m saying pump the brakes a little.
Justin Herbert – QB – Oregon Am I missing something here with Herbert? I haven’t seen worse feet in the pocket from a potential first round pick in a long time. He passes the eye test, physically. He’s big, he’s strong, but how many times can NFL teams and evaluators miss on quarterbacks because of the aesthetics? Herbert has no feel for the game inside the pocket, he stares down his primary target, and his ball placement is far from elite. I have been saying this over the past two seasons when it comes to Herbert. For me he’s a late 2nd to early 3rd round project at the quarterback position. He’s not the QB1 or QB2 of the class that some evaluators have told you he is.
Collin Johnson – WR – Texas We saw glimpses of the fringe first round talent that Collin Johnson could have been last season and for me he needed to get out of the gates early to make that jump into the first round and he simply hasn’t done that. He’s a big frame (6’6’’ 220lbs) and he uses it well in the red zone, but he lacks the speed and burst to get away from top shutdown corners. In an explosive offense so far this season Johnson has only amassed 108 yards and 1 TD. He is coming off knee surgery which could be slowing him down but with his game not being predicated on speed I’m not sure by how much? A player of his size should have better production after the catch and more consistency, and I just haven’t seen it. So, for me the talk of Johnson being a first round talent at this point in the process isn’t warranted.
Chase Young – DE – Ohio St. This one may trigger some people so let me qualify this by saying, Chase Young is a mid-first-round talent. Me putting him on this list has more to do with the kids who are under him on some evaluators lists than his talent alone. I have Young as my third best defensive end on my big board behind: AJ Epenesa & Yetur Gross-Matos. Epenesa could end up being the best player in the entirety of this class and few guys play with the motor and bend like Gross-Matos. Young lacks that motor and as an edge rusher that worries me. He’s also not nearly as strong with his hands as Epenesa and Gross-Matos. Young relies on his speed and slipperiness to get to the quarterback. These are three potentially elite pass rushers but for me, Chase Young is being overvalued at this moment in time.
Bryce Hall – CB – Virginia I like Bryce Hall and I think there’s a good corner in there somewhere, but the tape does not warrant him being the CB1 that many evaluators have touted him as. The best part of Hall’s game is his experience, he has been a starter since his freshman season and his ball skills. Hall is your prototypical boom or bust corner, very much in the vein of a Janoris Jenkins. He also rarely plays press man to man coverage. He likes to give a considerable amount of cushion to his receiver and look to take the ball away. He guesses a lot in coverage and is highly susceptible to double moves. He will need coaching and more polish but he could become an NFL level starting corner but I see no scenario where he should be garnering the first round talk he has been receiving thus far.

thedraftnetwork.com/articles/nfl-comparisons-for-2020-cornerbacks C.J. Henderson, Florida (6-foot-1, 200 pounds, junior) NFL Comparison: William Jackson III While C.J. Henderson is one of the best pure cover CBs in this entire class, his primary weakness as a run defender has been the sticking point of his draft stock. I understand the concern, but cornerbacks get paid for how they cover and play the ball — not for their production in run support. It is not something to ignore, but to say Henderson is not a top prospect would be unequivocally false.
Do you know who this happened to a couple of years ago despite excellent coverage consistency and production? William Jackson III out of Houston. Henderson wins in the same kind of ways with his combination of length, anticipation and twitch in man coverage. Like Jackson, Henderson is equally effective in off man and press man coverage. I have no doubt Henderson will be one of the top CBs drafted, despite the draft community's heavy criticism.

Ive been on the "i think Tua wont be worth the #1 pick" for awhile now. His deep ball is one of the nicest throws Ive ever seen in college, but I do think the author is right in saying a lot of his success should be attributed to having really amazing skill players around him during his career. Hes had Jeudy, Ruggs, Ridley (tho Tua didnt play much ridleys last year), a slew of RB including Damien Harris, Josh Jacobs, Bo Scarbrough, Najee Harris
I went as far as saying I thought Hurts would have a better pro career than Tua. I liken Hurts to Dak Prescott, I watched a bunch of both QBs in College and I see a lot of similarities...at least to my purely amateur eyes.
