Evening all,
And, I can't do morning ones cause well, I'm usually getting out and about early. Now is a good time for me cause everyone went to sleep. So, I think I am going to be more of a mainstay here, mostly because the board inbetween
MOTM's old board and this one is gone. I wasn't crazy about that last board. Too much in the way of BBWC.
But for a bit now you've had BBWC. It's a great feeling.
So, I created my thread about we should all be well, somewhat nice lol... Yep, I guess multiple mortgages in my life, a great wife, baby, two dogs and a new puppy... Well, I'm tuckered out enough that I couldn't fight on here even if I
wanted. So, ya got me..
However, I think with sitting down at the laptop again and using something called "thought", maybe I can whip up a decent post now and again. And no, not going to compete with Stoney. He writes War and Peace, and despite that it can have a plethora of info, at my age I read about halfway through and I gotta go nappy time. No offense, but find a way to get a bookmark in your posts so I can at least get back to it the next day.
So, for some of you newer folks, I'm going to go back to a history lesson..
Back in the 90s/2000s, we had the BBWC board. MOTM had a great setup. We had boards, a chat, and she even let posters put a small article in the splash page. We had a chance to show some football knowledge. It was fun. Chat, well, we used to talk about a lot of crap, not just football. I used to terrorize NYGChick all the time. She'd say she was leaving the board once a month. Was fun, well, back then lol. But, we'd still get a lot of good football talk in.
And yep, I had good chat friends in Painter and Chris Allen (God rest him). Chris especially was fun. Chris and I got to know each other really fast when I posted a negative thing about Simms, and Chris got bent outta shape and told me to read a book and learn something. So, I would say things to piss him off more, since it's well, ME. But after a while I got to him, like a less painful rash, and we became good chat friends. We were going to one day meet up, but you all know the rest.
We had good ol Weeze, and Jim in Jacksonville, and others. BBWC used to have t-shirts, don't know if they still do. And yea I was too cheap to buy one lol. I forgot the gent in Nashville. He was cool though. And, we cannot of course forget about a very special ol fart, Gordon G. You know what Gordon was to me? My conscience. While
MOTM was threatening to ban the phrase, "Slapnuts"... Gordon was always sending me messages like.. "Ed, you're a nice guy, but can you ...." and he'd correct me on something I did...
But back then, I would think hell no, I'm having too much fun as the "casual fan" that Chris would call me. I'd think Gordon, go back to your solarium in San Diego and sip that herbal tea will ya? But Gordon was great. Always was.
And my MORNING NOTES was a fun way I started my morning. Sometimes when I wasn't ranting or saying yet something stupid (the usual), I could put a tidbit out there that made sense. And then that's when I actually had this thing called... "replies".. Was neat. I made some sense and people would comment and talk football. What a concept.
So we're here today. We have new blood, ol fart blood, and a completely neutered EdS. But that's ok, my wife owns em and that's the way it is
I hope to keep having fun on here. And, learning a thing or two. But I'll NEVER admit to cheating on here with BBI....
Love ya brothers and sisters.... and may the caffeine gods bless you...
==>EdS, who hopes in his old age to finally make sense.....
