He deserved what his predecessor (who actually WON SB) got. But basically he is ownership's buddy so they treated him with kid gloves. It's about ACCOUNTABILITY.
Ownership isn't making it clear he sucked.
Yes, it matters, and it's exactly why I have no confidence in them to make the right hire. They'll hire another one of their buddies and run for cover when he fails. If they had fired him, the message would be CLEAR and UNAMBIGUOUS that this is not acceptable.
This organization deserves the ripping the media is giving it. Don't treat this loser soft.
The trust (or lack thereof) that Ownership has acquired has been earned. I'm firmly in the believe it when I see it camp. If they were convinced that David Gettleman was the answer, if they were convinced Joe Judge was the answer, then tell me what have they made clear (or even vaguely hinted at) they have learned since then? All I heard in the firing of Judge is "it ain't working out". No @#!%**, genius.
But you hired these clowns. Why should I trust you now? It was rather obvious that Gettleman and Judge had to go. There's no credit for doing the obvious. What's NOT so obvious right now is whom to hire. This is a decision that will seal their legacies as ownership if they screw it up. No pressure.
People don't get it, you're not dysfunctional because you're firing people every two years, you're dysfunctional because YOU CONTINUE HIRING THE WRONG PEOPLE.
