Ok Zay in a nutshell--
The ONLY negative is size <--- And what happened is A) we traded Da Joker... and B) He fit right in at KC and we could of used him.
So this is a replacement for what we had. Just a much much better personality for the team. But all the concepts can be put back in the play book.
Everything that Joker did for us Zay does. Typically is in the slot but also lines up wide. Reverses... pitch pass, pop passes - extremely fast off the line f scrimmage you can't get hands on him. Immediately sets defender on the back foot. After that he does what he wants.
What separates Zy is his ability to get vertical. This is not an underneath target guy he gets down field. of course Danny will have to improve on that... but more than willing to work the middle . Zay brings a best of both worlds.
I don't want to get to deep in coach speak but this guy runs routs the right way he is fantastic at hitches and crosses, outs and when he get to the top of his pattern boy does he twist off the stem- he's gone. He sepertates. Changes speed with the best of them lurs youi nto a downshift and then Vroom has another gear.
Like Cruz really flexible but what i really like about his game-- Physical blocker at that size. Boy does this guy compete. NY Coaches will eat that up.
Super intelligent. Really attacks a defenders hips makes them go the wrong way. He forces them to flip. It's all in the footwork.
Tons of yards after catch a specialty... very hard to tackle... Excels on deep balls better than Toney!!! <--- set him deep.
He does a good job tracking it and can high point it.

One of the most exciting players in college football, Flowers was a touchdown waiting to happen at Boston College. With easy speed down the field, he can run past defenses on shot plays as easily as he can run around them on bubble screens. On every route he runs, he displays an uncanny ability to change direction that leaves defenders looking silly.
Incredibly dynamic after the catch, getting him the ball in space will be paramount at the next level. In fact, he is so lethal in the open field that he could also factor in on special teams as a return man. Regardless, utilizing Flowers on screens, sweeps, and quick-hitting pass plays will be key to unlocking his potential.
Despite his size, he was surprisingly effective in contested catch situations as well. Obviously, contested catch rates tend to drop as players hit the NFL and the physicality increases, but seeing him succeed in these spots is certainly a positive.
Of the receivers in this year’s class, is one of the prospects furthest along in his development, which should allow him to make a relatively early impact.
Projection: Round 2-3 <------------
dropped passes, small catch radius, and not a functional blocker arent a negative? He sure is electric but certainly comes with concerns.
