It’s not Jones hate. Jones still has a lot to prove. Yes he’s been held back by a horrible roster, atrocious coaches and a Swiss cheese oline. But it’s not like Jones has elevated the team at any point. Until he does, there will be Giants fans that lack confidence he is the right QB for the franchise.
Pointing out that Jones bears some responsibility in his own career is not hate. Jones made a positive step forward last season. He needs to continue down that path. Jones has all the physical tools. The question marks are now about his mental game and his leadership abilities. Can he make the offense perform at a high level consistently?
We’re all rooting for Jones. No one wants to see him fail. Pointing out his flaws and asking questions about his game is not “hating”.
There are questions because there is a lot of gray. I still think Jones is a very similar QB as Goff or Tanahill even Cousins. They are on script passers that are only as good as the players around them. Give them a good Oline and lots of options to throw too with consistency in the run game. They can play well and win games. When players get hurt or cut do to cap problems and the team around them is average. They are average. If the play is off script or a negative play. It’s bad news. They make it worse
They need to play with in the system and themselves
