Orlovsky said, "My OC wouldn't call that play." That hard to understand? That's Orlovsky saying it's the OC, not DJ. Amazing how you missed that clear statement he made. Just amazing.
At the 1:35 mark in the video, Orlovsky freezes the video and throws his hands in the air saying, throw it now. What I'm seeing is a throw that likely is blocked by the free rusher. There's no good throwing lane to Wan'Dale. I'm looking at it, it's not there. At best, it's a maybe, but it certainly isn't easy. Anyone claiming that's easy peasy is not being objective and yes, I'd call out Orlovsky on making that claim. What, is DJ supposed to throw that one left-handed to Wan'Dale?
Secondly, if I were to ask Orlovsky a question about it, I would ask this. Why does McKethan's man beat him right off the snap on the play and his defender is the one who gets the strip sack? Are you claiming that McKethan did a good job of blocking on that play? That was horrible! Look at it. If McKethan holds up his man for even a second at the LoS instead of getting beat right from the get go, DJ escapes on the play to the outside. But no, he doesn't. It's terrible pass blocking. I would ask if he really thought that's ok pass blocking. Why do you think guys like Hurts more often escape rather than get hit? Because their OL holds up for a few seconds that's why! They don't get beat right off the snap at the LoS like McKethan did on that play.
And once again, you know more about what should have been done than Orlovsky. I'm sure he would quite concerned with you "calling him out." But the hypocracy jumps out. One minute Orlovsky is a genius because he say the OC shouldn't call the play, and the next he doesn't know what he's talking about.
The McKethan aspect is comical because you're arguing about something that shouldn't have happened. Jones needs to get the ball out long before that. Jones is his own worst enemy at times.
The only hypocrisy spinning is yours. With your "DJ has terrible ADoT but at the same time he should throw the ball to a receiver behind the line of scrimmage" because that's all he can do with this crappy play call and OL pass pro!" That's hypocrisy. Blame DJ either way.
And the only comical thing is your take on how much time DJ had on the play, which was none.
