Nope and gambling is a perfect reason for them not to.
The legalization of sports betting has resulted in an increased awareness of the need to strike a careful balance
between potential competitive interests and the preservation of public confidence in the integrity of the game, which
requires the prompt disclosure of information, that may influence on-field performance or the outcome of a game,
including the availability of coaches and players. Complete transparency with respect to such information is of the
utmost importance in ensuring the integrity of our game, preventing someone from gaining an advantage from
perceived “inside information,” and preventing the perception that “insiders” are misusing the information.
Specificity. Injuries must be identified with a reasonable degree of specificity in terms that are meaningful to
coaches, other club officials, the media, and the public. For example, leg injuries must be specified as ankle, knee,
thigh, calf, etc. Arm injuries must be identified as shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, specific muscle, etc. Listing an injury
simply as “leg,” “arm,” “upper body,” or other equally vague description, is not acceptable. Particular attention
must be paid to the submission of Practice Reports for quarterbacks, kickers and punters. The report must indicate
“left” or “right” if the injury is to the shoulder, any part of the arm or any part of the hand of a quarterback, or if the
injury is to the groin, any part of the leg or foot of a kicker or punter.
