Do you think Nix can be more than a west coast type quick game guy and push the ball down the field? does he check down too much too early too often?
Golden
He is definitely best in the west coast offense. But yes I can see Nix play in other systems. Players like Nix and Jones tend to take the easy throws and rely on them to much. The key to the NFL is understanding what is going on and finding your one on one. Jones doesn’t do that and Nix has a tendency to fall into the same trap If you have a one on one that’s a 15 yard pass. You need to take advantage of it and throw your receivers to a point. Daniels does that more often. Nix does too. Just not enough.
When we saw Taylor come in. He took more one on one throws downfield then jones did. He stabilized the ship and it opened things up a little more. When a quarterback turns into a check down Charlie to much. It brings everything up close to the line of scrimmage and it affects the run game too.
But it's a balancing act, you can't overdo it. I think right now, Bo overdoes it. If he can improve in that regard, I think he can be really good in the NFL. It's a projection though and IDK how long it will take. Like you said give Bo a firm pocket with two stud Guards and his bad habits may fix themselves. We shall see!

Bo is all over the place according to Pat Kirwan. Some have him mid round 1. Others round 2. Some round 3. I think with Nix it’s going to come down to where a team has him. Checking the boxes in interviews, pro days and combine. Rewatching his tape and going back to your life takes notes. I personally think he is a round 2 guy but with supply and demand at Quarterback he goes late round 1
