(Williams) was constantly chasing points. I thought that led to some of the habits that creeped in a little bit. ... He lost eight games at USC. They gave up an average of 43 points in those games. He was 12-0 when they managed to allow less than 34 points. It's tough to play quarterback when you're chasing points like that constantly."

I read someone's article that said Aaron Rogers is a better comp than Mahomes.  I agree somewhat in play style.

Their Comp for Maye was Justin Herbert and Lamar Jackson for Jayden Daniels.

Ofcourse I think those are absolute best case scenarios.  I still think drafting a QB is a crap shoot.  One of Williams, Maye and Daniels will probably be a bust.  One or two of them will be a superstar.  probably only one of Nix, McCarthy and Penix will make it in the NFL.  Your guess is as good as anyone's.

Agree. I like the Arod comp and have seen that a few times.  The Justin herbert comp is everybody's comp for Maye. I don't like the lamar jackson comp for Daniels though.

I think LJ is a unicorn. LJ never takes big hits. IF JD tries to be a running hero in the NFL, I fear he going to end up like RG3. JD took a lot of hits in college whereas LJ took none because nobody could ever get a good lick on LJ. That is my biggest concern with JD and why I'd rank him lower on the totem pole.

I've felt like Bo Nix and JJ Mccarthy were underrated for a while now watching college football. I still feel that way to a certain extent.

JJ is now moving way up boards but folks have dialed it back on Bo Nix because of the senior bowl practices. Both Qbs need some work but I think both can be coached up. Both of these guys are great under pressure (which is a big factor consiederig the NYG OL). Both of them have fantastic accuracy, even when, and especially when, throwing on the run. Neither QB takes a lot of sacks. both can run and do the RPOs well, which fits Dabe's scheme.

Both are winners. I like both of them and wouldn't mind the NYGs taking chance on either guy if they felt it was their guy.

I think Dabes is a coach who could make any of the Qbs "right". Dabes made tommy cutlets and tyrod taylor seem like a star and got DJ playing at a high level in 2022.   shoot Dabes even had mitch trubisky playing well in buffalo.  I like the chances with Dabes getting "his guy" to coach up, whoever that guy may be.

It is entirely possible Caleb Williams is shorter than 6' 1" that he is listed at. What will the narrative be if he measures 5' 11" or 6' 0"?

What Qbs will have small hands or small arm length?

Cam ward is another qb I'm interested in learning more about. I like what little I've seen. I know Stoney mentioned him.

Would like to see these guys throw against an NFL secondary, See what they look like against tight coverage at combine.   One can dream.

At least Lamar Jackson does not have Mike Shanahan for his head coach. Jayden Daniels will not have him either thankfully. 

   

RGIII alleged Shanahan never wanted him as Washington QB.
