Cosell's scouting report is pretty accurate and very detailed of what the tape shows if you ask me. At the same time, cosell is picking apart every little thing, much of which is thought by many analysts can be cleaned up with coaching.

He was 27-1 as a starter and had great pff grades. He has an "it" factor about him. His third down tape is second to none according to scouts. A Qb who can be "clutch" is something scouts value highly one would think.

JJ is only 21 years old. He is probably going to sit for a year (or most of the first year) and develop further, if the NYG were to draft him.

Kurt Warner is a HOF QB and has been saying over and over again that he doesn't even know or have the answers on who will be successful in the NFL. He says "processing" is the number one thing he wants his QB to have for the next level. After Caleb Williams he seemingly likes Jayden Daniels OR Michael Penix as QB2. Michael Penix Jr. as possibly being QB2 is different from most narratives.

However, there are some stats and advanced analytics that do have predictive value. Some stats, such as sack rate, are “sticky” and can follow quarterbacks from college to the NFL, as well as from team to team.

For our purposes, we’ll be looking at completion percentage, yards per game, EPA, and ESPN’s QBR. Each of those stats have a moderately-strong to strong correlation coefficient between college and the NFL. None of them are definitive, but they’re another tool that can help provide a backstop to check bias as well as confirm what we did (or didn’t) see on tape. For reference, I’ll be listing their rank among top quarterback prospects in 2023.

As of right now, Carson Beck appears to be the prize... Jalen Milroe has a chance to be special, with his insane running ability, if he can put it all together. Shadeur Sanders has actually been really good so far in college but probably comes with a side show lol. Cam Ward... I'm sure some others will rise and/or fall.

This definitely looks like Schoen and Daboll watching Penix.

Who by the way ran a 4.46 40 at his Pro Day. This is around the same time as Justin Fields and Anthony Richardson. He may not be mobile according to most, but he is fast.
