I did some quick research here, and the Giants only had 10 men on the field in Week 3 late in the third quarter vs. Cowboys in 2022. So in training camp 2022 the Giants can't get the personnel right and Daboll gets pissed at the coaches. Apparently, their weak little feelings get hurt (I'm assuming this is the Wilkens brothers or Wink telling this side of the story). Well in Week 3, the Giants only have 10 men on the field and the Cowboys score a TD. In Week 18 of 2023, the Giants have to burn a timeout because their are 12 men on defense early in 2nd half. Giants were up big, but still a lot of time left in the game and you might need all three of your timeouts later.
I just read that article and said, wow what a bunch of weak arguments to try to save face.
Also, the fact that Daboll fired Bobby Johnson on Monday and by Thursday he already hired his replacement flies in the face of the argument that nobody will wanna work with Daboll.
Just a general comment. Not claiming Daboll is a bully or anything else.
Someone will always work with "that guy" regardless who "that guy" is. Opportunities come knocking - you take it. No guarantee you get "perfect" opportunity waiting around.
