- Slayton has been our #1 receiver for the past 5 years. It's time for that to come to an end and for him to become the #3 or 4 he always should have been. And he's a pretty good 3/4 but he should stop grousing about his contract.
- Robinson should be close to 100% a full year off his ACL and he should live up to his draft position: a legit #1 or #2.
- Hyatt coming into his sophomore year should be taking a leap. Will he? Also a potential #1 or #2. He needs to get separation without relying solely on raw speed.
- Nabors will decide where he fits in. Where will he be on the depth chart in week 1? Week 15?
There's tremendous potential from all these guys. If the potential is realized, we could end up with an unbelievable receiver corps. But right now, it's only potential.
Robinson has enough cutting and catching ability to be a better version than Sterling Sheppard. That's right, I like the way Robinson can get open and his hands better than a healthy Sheppard during his hey day. Hopefully Robinson can stay healthy better than Sheppard could.
Spot on with Slayton and Hyatt. Slayton is a good guy to have in the mix for next season for many reasons and hoping for that 2nd year jump for Hyatt. He flashed at times his first season. We'll see.
Nabars is the real deal. The one place analysts say he might struggle a bit at the NFL level is his get off the line against press coverage. The reason is he never had to do much hand fighting to get off the line in college. His natural athleticism was enough. He's probably going to need to work on that and make adjustments at the NFL level. That said, in every other way, he's great. He has short, medium and long aspects of his game. He can be used on end a rounds effectively. Heck, he can be lined up in the backfield for a hand off if you want to. In essence, he's a guy you want to get the ball in his hands 10+ times per game and let him get YAC-tastic. Nabars, in my opinion, has no bust potential because he's going to do things if you can just find a way to get the ball in his hands.
