One of the reasons we can never break out of our average play is the Groundhog Day effect: first time Jones farts correctly and doesn't leave a stain a new thread pops up here congratulating the $140 mil dollar man. And it is so boring. Why? Just let the games play out.

So now the question is who is better first year player Jaydon Daniels or 6 year grizzled vet Jones.

Think how stupid that comparison is how can Jones not be better with all the valuable knowledge he as picked up in that soft as marshmallow brain of his...

Right? What rookie comes in first year and blows away a guy like Jones?

What's interesting to me is although to the eyes Jones is throwing very short his yards per is actually much higher than past seasons it's 6 yards.

In past years Jones has been all the way down to 3 yards in depth of target. So we have improvement.

So rather hanging the negative in comparing Jones to some rookie which is a fools errand lets focus on the fact that Jones can take his yards per up another notch from here.

What Daniels has accomplished so far as a professional is remarkable. Just six games into his NFL career, he has already emerged as perhaps one of the greatest dual-threat players of all time, leading all starting quarterbacks with a 75.3% completion rate and 15% scramble rate... 

I don't expect that from Jones.

This is after six games! So you can pretty much scheme out six years from now where Jaydon Daniels will be and where Jones will be.
One will be tossing footballs.

The other one darts.

Jayden Daniels has completed 75.3 percent of passes when passing for >20 yards this season.

Daniel Jones has completed 62.1 percent of passes when throwing for >20 yards this season.

The running game is over for Jones he will never compete there but here we are but 13% behind Daniels in this key metric....

It is worth going back to what John Mara said:

“We’ve done everything possible to screw [Jones] up. . .we keep changing coaches, offensive coordinators, offensive line coaches. . .let’s bring in the right group of coaches and give him some continuity and try to rebuild the offensive line, and then be able to make an intelligent evaluation” --John Mara

OK, the OL has improved, the weapons are still thin outside of Nabors, but the coaching staff is now stable (Daboll's third year) and so we can soon make an "intelligent evaluation." So far, it doesn't look great for Jones -- 2 piss-poor lousy games out of 6 is not a good thing for a QB.

For Jones, it's now or never. He needs to get it done, he needs to perform at a high level (at least) throughout the rest of the season.

That's over , John Mara is not the Coach . Jones has played well this season better then many thought ............oh yeah he played like schitt Sunday night not defending him (yet he was not alone). I like the way this team has and is coming together and while I like Daboll and Schoen I'm not likeing his play calling.

He had one about 40 yards with Slayton , I realize Jones has to get more on track but the WR's need to catch them all so.

This is where I disagree. I think inconsistent QB play makes it hard to develop Offensive line cohesion and makes it hard to keep a head coach in the building. At the end of the day the NFL route tree is the same in LA and NY. The language is different and how the mesh route together. Jones problems have always been inconsistent play, slow processing and starring down his reads. If he hasn’t improved by now he never will.

I would still stick to the plan. Continue building the roster and hopefully add a QB early in 2025. Sit him and let him develop

Or

Cut Jones and use his cap savings and try to add WR Higgins. Having Nabers and Higgins would be awesome for a Rookie QB. Still need to add another Guard. Rest is all Defense. Another Corner and DT would be a good start too

Oh lawd. Lets not talk about the same stuff over And over. The support of Daniel Jones that we need to worry about is from within the team itself.

And the support is lacking./

Very important game to get his teammates appreciation back... I think a lot is on the line today. I expect Danny to play very well.
The offensive line is so much better than than last year, it's not even fair to use them as a crutch.

One thing that I read that I find interesting is the TE coach does more work with the O line than you would think. Apparently the TE coach is a bit of a screen pass wizard. And if you have noticed a play we have never been able to run right here has hit a few times this season already.

Apparently vs the 1 screen pass to Barkley set up we used to have, we now have almost 15 different screen plays and put five or six in every game plan. That's huge change.
