Welcome to the new and improved Big Blue Wrecking Crew Fan Forum!
We are a community of New York Giants Fans and we welcome all fans of Big Blue. All other NFL teams fans are also welcome.
MEMBER CONDUCT
This board is for discussion of the New York Football Giants and related NFL player/personnel only. Other threads that are NON FOOTBALL THREADS must have NFT in the subject line or they are subject to deletion.
POLITICAL SUBJECTS ARE NOT ALLOWED!
All views (good/bad/neutral) about the team are welcomed and part of conversation and normal banter. They are all equally welcome, but you as the reader must decide their value.
Keep it clean, no obscene or material considered objectionable by parent monitoring the site for a young adult.
Present your post as if you were at a party, standing nearby to the group your discussing with. If you use vulgar or inappropriate language, you may be warned and advised that at your next offense you will be banned.
No personal attacks on others who posts at this board, or insults directed at posters. You don’t have to agree with everyone’s point of view, and you may think their opinion doesn’t have value, but you cannot attack a person with vulgar name-calling because you don’t agree (ultimately this says more about you, and your lack of tolerance or self-control) Once again, if you use vulgar or inappropriate language name-calling, you may be warned and advised that at your next offense, you will be banned.
This board is moderated. If you do not care for a moderated board you can find many throughout the internet that are not moderated. Please respect your fellow posters, welcome and encourage new posters, adhere to the guidelines and respect the moderators and their guidance and decisions.
Moderators will be aggressive in taking action on members who are viewed as not contributing to a supportive environment. Moderators will have the discretion to take the appropriate action when a member is acting in such a manner as to undermine the supportive environment that we want. Moderators will consolidate threads that address the same topic or where the consolidation of two or more threads is seen as desirable to enhance discussion.
Moderators will advise the originators of the merged threads.
Posting copyrighted material is illegal without giving credit to the author or providing a link. It is legal to quote a portion of a copyrighted piece giving credit to the author. Even if the material is not copyrighted, the proper thing to do is to give credit to the author. When someone by design inadvertently takes credit for someone else's work, inevitably people discover it and that individual's creditability is damaged.
Once a post takes on a life of its own and starts spinning off topic and degrading, you should take it offline to private message. If a moderator asks you to take a conversation off-line or to private message it is because they have either gotten complaints or they can sense its going to place that is of no interest to anyone except the few bantering. Respect their request and do so.
Bow out of threads that are getting nasty. Think of the fan forum as a large party and you are wandering from group to group sharing in the conversations. If a conversation gets heated and you no longer want to participate, then don’t. Just walk away. Most importantly, do so without taking parting shots or name-calling.
If you see a post authored by an individual whom you regular spar with, do not agree with, or have any problem with, take the high road and just skip reading the post. It wastes your time and by responding you are just providing fuel for those who feed off negative posting and getting a response. If a poster is problematic, and no one responds to their post, it will get boring and eventually they will stop.
We do not monitor private messages. If someone sends you an unwelcome or inappropriate PM, delete it and move on as you would with any other spam.
Do NOT duplicate threads. Many posters have complained about the amount of topics or threads thatare basically on same theme, or on the same thought. We have had several ideas as to how to try and consolidate some of them into one main topic. I know people come on with a thought and they want to post it for others to see, but they should take a couple of minutes and look at least on the first page and see if some one else has already posted the same thoughts. If so, why don't we just try and add to that thread instead of 10 different people starting their own threads. I know it's nice to be able to start a very popular thread, but half a dozen threads on the same subject just pushes other topics off the main page and further down the line.
No TICKET SALES or ADVERTISEMENTS. TICKET BUY/ SELL/TRADE activity has a board specifically for this purpose.
Do not post full articles from other sources (summarize them and provide a link to it). This is a copyright infringement and against the law.
When in doubt, take the high-road. Ignore digs, and do not succumb to the lure of trash talking. There are several long term posters here that had rough starts who have come to be very valuable and cherished members of the community.
