In the short term Eli is still the Giants number one offensive player. Not Odell Beckham. Beckham can be replaced with a series of other wide receivers with Eli throwing the ball to them. Geno Smith or some high draft pick rookie throwing the ball to Odell is not what this team needs. Do you want to be competitive for the next year or two? Then you need Eli, otherwise you may as well tune back in 2020. Get Beckham healthy and trade for as much as you can get. And tell McAdoo's parents to come pick him up and get him out of here ASAP
Can we please stop this nonsense that Beckham can be easily replaced by other wide receivers. Lets look back at the 1st two games of this season if you really believe that. Against a Dallas defense that is very bad, the Giants didn't have Odell playing and they made that bad defense look All Pro. Week 2 against a solid Detroit defense with a 70% healthy Beckham, and the offense still gets shut down. Sterling Shepard and Brandon Marshall weren't getting things done. A healthy Beckham makes things happen. A top WR makes things happen for his team. AJ Green said to give him the damn ball when the Bengals were struggling and he made plays. Julio Jones being on the field makes it so that his team can make plays. Antonio Brown makes it so defenses have to address him, allowing other Steelers receivers to make plays. Do you seriously think Eli and the Giants can make plays on offense without Beckham to make plays and open up other receviers on the Giants? Not if you trade Beckham away. Sure I get it that people don't like his attitude or demeanor, but you can't argue the talent he brings. If you do trade him away, your looking at what the Giants receivers did last night, which was next to nothing against a strong secondary.
