Chimpanzees and Orangutans eat humans as well as other apes. Gorillas, like us, are omnivores. But as it was already asked/implied, what does that have to do with us?
The animal kingdom didn't divide itself between herbivore/omnivore/carnivore lines because species discovered ethics. We're the only idiots that do that. The animal kingdom divided itself based on geographic and endemic food sources.
We "choose" to be self-conscious as to what we put in our bodies. Animals don't have that luxury. Deer don't eat grass instead of insects because they want to. Their biology forces them to.
And again, nothing to do with us or the OPs thread/video/questions.
He gets it.
It really is simple. If you want to complicate it by adding more health topics like longevity, organ function (eyes, heart, liver, etc), bone growth, medical conditions (diabetes, hypoglycemia, allergies)n etc. etc. That's fine but a different topic(s). When it comes to muscle growth and weight its simple. Very simple.
There is a reason the older men get eh bigger their bellies are.
Would a A plant based diet be helpful. In the video is a guy who is older claiming he is in better shape thatn all the younger folks he knows or whatever.
I'd be willing to try a plant based diet if i had a good enough reason to. Maybe it is better for older men? I'm asking you guys for your input. Would cutting out meat really help anything? Is fish it's own category? I honestly can't say because I've never tried it or read much about it.
I'm a bit intrigued by the documentary. I'm also skeptical that whoever produced has skin in the game. Maybe vegetable selling corporations. I'm interested in scientific facts mostly. I thought eh topic was interesting for both sports and all folks here on the board.
As with most everything it’s a holistic perspective.
Nutrition and lifestyle choices (eg exercise, sleep, drugs, cigarettes, etc) are all factors of good health.
