We all saw the nonsense over and over from Odell. From all the off the field issues to his on the field tirades. He polluted enough people on the team.
Now we see the circus that the Cleveland Browns are. Crowned instantly by the media heads as an instant playoff team. Most said they were instant Super Bowl contenders. Oodles of talent on both sides of the field. A brand new phenom QB, Odell, Landry, Chubb, Hunt, then the defense spread with talent like Ward, Garrett, Vernon, Greedy Williams, etc (highlighted in red for calliesdad2019).
Now we see what a bad locker room looks like. You have guys like Myles Garrett with anger issues. Throughout the season he has done things after the whistle. He has received numerous 15 yard penalties. Then they signed Kareem Hunt, seen on video punching a woman in the face. They take Odell from the Giants. Odell was seen trying to get some model (who is seen making cocaine lines in the video) to have sex with his friend. Odell, a guy who has massive emotional issues. Arrived to a kids football camp hungover and incredibly late because he partied the night prior. He skipped OTAs for the Browns, arrived really late into their practice rotation. Basically Odell didn't get much work with Baker before the season started. It didn't matter, football doesn't matter. He got his guaranteed money, he's just going through the motions now. In fantasy football he's ranked the 31st best WR in the NFL. He's a non factor. He's never on the same page as Baker Mayfield, he didn't want to put the work in.
Fans will want to point fingers at the Coach, the GM, the owner. Everyone with a brain sees the poison brewing in their locker room. After Myles Garrett slammed a helmet into Rudolph's head what does Larry Ogunjobi do? He runs over and shoves Rudolph to the ground. That's the lack of character we are talking about. Mob mentality. As the saying goes, they are letting the "inmates run the asylum".
What do we have in common with the Browns? We both aren't making the playoffs! Myles Garrett might also miss games next season too. That defense without Garrett is a shell of itself. This season is over for them and next season is in jeopardy too. All those massive contracts they have tied up! It's not pretty! Even though this season is over for the Giants, it is nice having next to no drama coming from this team. Imagine being the Browns with all that talent and picking a few spots after the Giants. Yikes! If Garrett misses chunks of games next season, you can kiss next year goodbye too.
