No that's your opinion. Jerry Reese met with the media during bye weeks. Gettleman does not. Those are facts.
For those struggling to know the difference. Facts are verifiable. You can look them up etc. Also, an easy way to think of it is this. Facts are often past tense. Facts also have precise definitions. Facts can often be yes or no propositions. Facts in order to be facts have to be 100% true.
Jerry rice caught a lot of footballs in his career.<<< fact or fiction?
Answer: It depends. What is the definition of "a lot"?
Gettleman is "hiding". <<<< fact or fiction?
Answer: it depends. What is the definition of hiding? What facts are you using as evidence to support that conclusion? Even if you define hiding, it is till going to be a conclusion and therefore more appropriately deemed an opinion rather than a fact. But he is either hiding or he is not hiding.
It is a yes or no thing. Hiding or not hiding. So if you can have the jury (listeners) accept an acceptable definition of "hiding" and then offer proof, in the form of facts, of said hiding, i suppose DG is hiding could then be deemed fact by the jury(listeners). Show the jury a picture of DG hiding in his closet or something lol.
Fact or fiction: Dave Gettleman has never met with the media during the bye week in his career while in the role of General Manager.
Answer: Fact. It cannot be disputed or questioned in any way. It is 100% true. He never has. THIS FACT CAN BE LOOKED UP AND VERIFIED.
The conclusion that DG isn't hiding based on the fact that he never met with the media in the past, is also not warranted logically speaking though. Although it seems to be a reasonable leap to most people. From a strictly logical reasoning perspective it does not logically automatically follow. The point is that any conclusions based on facts are almost always also opinions.
Cheers.
