Personally I think Cowher stays put. Just a feeling. Same with Gruden so let’s see my guys
My #1 guy is Jim Harbaugh. Mara did say if they feel complete power to a guy they want they will consider it. I like the concept of head coach and GM in one. He can draft exactly who he wants along with free agency not coaching who the GM picks for him and there is less communication break down. And Harbaugh can handle it. Plus Harbaugh teams are extremely physical and well coached. Just what the Giants fans want It’s a long shot but my #1 option
#2 would be Gettleman as GM. This guy has a real eye for talent. Look at the panthers roster under him and who he brought in He also cleaned up the cap there and got them to a Super Bowl Harbaugh with him would be deadly but I think Harbaugh wants full control. Jim Schwartz would be a good fit and I also like Stanford coach Shaw
I also heard Wolf is a guy along with a few others. I would be careful of bringing in anyone from the Patriots. I feel like your dealing with the devil with that team. It’s all Bill and I strongly would consider passing
Whatever coach they bring in. He has to be able to get the most out of underachieving players like JPP Vernon and Apple and find a way to put Jenkins and Collins in situations to be Stars and play makers Handle Odell’s huge personality and understands the offensive line lol
No to Harbaugh. There is a reason he leaves every spot he's at after 4 years. He thinks hes smarter then everyone else in the room. That kind of reminds us of what McAdoo was. Harbaugh would burn through any relationship with management in no time at all. Plus, you don't give a guy total control over the organization. That's why Saban will never leave Alabama, he wants total control. This is the NFL, nobody gets total control outside of the guy in New England. And you want to give a hot head like Harbaugh total control?
Gettleman is too old for the job. Did he have an eye for talent? Yes, when he was with the Giants. Sure he got the Panthers cap situation under control, but he also let Josh Norman walk away with nothing to gain from it. He neglected the offensive line during his tenure there when they have a running type QB in Cam Newton. Who exactly did he bring in there anyways? Star, Kwann Short, Kelvin Benjamin (who was traded), and Chrisitian McCaffery. Didn't really look like a good job there. Especially if he got fired the way he did for the former GM to replace him. I say the Giants should stay away with what they know. Go for an outside the organization type of GM.
