Honestly I don't even know who we play next week. I just assume it will be a loss. Giant management must feel the same way. The rumor is Aaron Rodgers Gave Daniel Jones Simple Advice After Packers Beat Giants-- 'Man, do what I did, get rid of that loser coach!' I feel real bad for Danny at this point. He is so stuck having to back this terrible coach and he's getting sucked down into the badness just by being associated with Shurmur yet he must support the coach because the coaches every life string is tethered to the young QB. Its a sycophant situation I'm pretty sure.
Giants begin post game analysis- the team asks coach: Why try to run a jet sweep with a player (Da’Mari Scott) who just came off the practice squad and has neither an NFL reception or rushing attempt rather than with Darius Slayton or Sterling Shepard.-?
A) Because we are improving every day behind the scenes.
Next Question: Coach despite having 12 men on the field, the Packers still scored easily. You had the twelve I believe....-?
A) Sometimes with Aaron Rodgers twelve is not enough.
Update** Jenkins also told reporters to “go ask him (Bettcher),” when asked where his missing sandwich is. Is this a A Second Sign Of Crew unease?
No player in the Giants’ locker room speaks his mind as freely as Jenkins does. This might, though, be an indication that players are questioning the coaching staff. Remember, a couple of weeks ago Saquon Barkley — while not mentioning Giants coaches — did say he was tired of people trying to change his running style.
Will DeAndre Baker Walk the plank?
This guy I think is plying poorly on purpose to get a ticket out of here when he will instantly be much better... a trend? I simply do not believe such a swag person who was thought of so highly in college can possibly be this bad on the football field-- THIS IS GETTELMAN'S BIGGEST DRAFT BLUNDER.
— Baker is now splitting reps with Sam Beal, and it is increasingly apparent that the Giants are losing patience with the overwhelmed rookie cornerback. Twice against the Packers Baker was yanked immediately after poor plays. Baker was pulled after the game’s second play, when he allowed a 43-yard completion to Allen Lazard. He was pulled again in the third quarter after a 25-yard pass to DeVante Adams. Baker was in zone coverage on the second play, didn’t appear to make much of an effort to break up the pass, and got yelled at by Antoine Bethea.<--- What a day! And he got paid.
Alright that's all in the past! Lets take a moment to have a pipe, put the feet up, open the ole 'curtain and stare out the window! I bring to you the draft if it happened tomorrow here are our NY Giant picks.
<<THE 2020 NFL DRAFT PICKS FOR THE NY GIANTS ON DEC 2nd!>>
PICK ONE - Chase Young DE Ohio St
PICK TWO- Tyler Biadasz C Wis
PICK FOUR- Mitchell Wilcox TE S Florida or Khaleke Hudson, S, Michigan (Hudson is basically an in the box safety who wins with speed and quickness. Also listed as LB)
PICK FIVE- Anyonio Gandy Golden WR Liberty
PICK SIX- DANIELLE THOMAS Auburn S
PICK SEVEN- Marcus Norman, OT, South Florida
Comments: Chase Young is the obvious first pick then I really have to go with the anchor of our next O line Mr Badazz! Center. We do not have a pick Round 3 as of now but one will come via the supplemental... for now we leave blank. Pick Four I'm not sure if we have either.. thanks to L Williams... confused here. Assuming DG pulls off a trade & gets one.
Anyway I have an eye on a Tight end from South Florida. I'm pretty much done with Engram. Wilcox is tough. The other idea for the fourth round Hudson is a versatile player, he can edge rush and do a lot of positive things on the field. His nickname is The Viper I'm not sure why but he's not ranked as highly as you would think. Pick Five I'm looking for another receiver or running back for now it's a receiver. Pick Six another safety! ~si
