The season of the endless root canal. Each Sunday feels very much like going to the dentist. There's dread, there's hope, misguided hope, there's undetected problems, there's future problems, malcontent ones, shakey ones, chipped ones, and then they check for cancer. It's the call back, the knowledge that yes you'll be back in a week after the pain dies down for another round...
Welcome to 2017 NY Giant fotball. YES. YES IT's TRUE GIANTS CONTINUE TO LOSE ON PURPOSE! <-- ALERT*******
It feels very strange to say this in the face of such a vehement denial by the owner. Boy Mara really had his acting shoes on. Something happened in that Dallas game and it didn't feel right to me. There was a very obvious pattern developing in which blitzes were being burned. Drop back and Dak had nothing. Blitz he found the crossing pattern every time. Everyone knows by now you keep Dak throwing to the different sides of the field. He can't make those throws on a consistent basis. Yet Spags deliberately blitzed into the trap. He's just too smart for that. The sub patterns in this game were a little strange as well. If we wanted to re witness the event we could go through play by play and see the Giants really were trying to lose. All those dropped balls? Purely accidental? Zero throws to the corners-no deep stuff even with a very moderate pass rush.... yet if Eli wanted to there was a game for him to be had there--to have good completion percentage, not so many yards one big drive and remember the first TD could of been a run it was a stat filler but if he could gotten another he would of thrown for two TD's 300 + yards and no interceptions. Instead in rather desperate style Eli tossed those two away which usually would of made him crazy. He is very stat aware.. Not this time.. No this time everyone seems to be on the same page. Play hard. But play to lose.
The TV did a fabulous job of showing how well Snacks was playing, his hustle for a big man really made you proud. But then look at everyone else. The orders to lose on purpose unfortunately do not make it all the way down to the grunt level of defensive tackle... pride still mattered in that little space that Snacks occupied but what of Olivier Vernon! Arm tackle miss of QB and then fake injury. Yea I said. Come hunt me down next time I'm in the locker room. Late hit on the QB 15 yards... then played tag football for the rest of the day. I know Vernon' s a great citizen and really does a lot for the Giant organization... he's a good guy... that needs to play a lot better!
Ok, after the game Spags went around the players mostly just the defensive players but he sat next to each one and whispered in their ear. Hopefully he told them the truth. Draft Position Is Being Sculpted and looked at very carefully by the Giants, it seems at latest look that we can in fact win ONE more game-- next week against the Eagles will be that game. Then away Cards no one expects a win and last game in a terrible season no-one would point fingers if we just protected our knees and left for vacation.
3 wins = Josh Allen! Josh Allen = Carson Wentz.
The person Allen consulted last offseason while deciding whether to leave for the NFL was Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Went.<<--- Because Wentz was recruited and coached by his coach Bohl and Wyoming offensive coordinator Brent Vigen during their time with the Bison.... CONNECTION!
WATCH THE POTATO BOWL!!!! <-- Most Important Bowl for Giant fans Josh has a hurt arm and is 90% he could sit this one out and go directly to the NFL but he's cut in that ' other ' mold of player- he's gonna play.
UW Football
Josh Allen's shoulder still not at 100 percent as Wyoming nears Potato Bowl --
The main issue now, he said, is the pain.
“I definitely believe I can make all the throws,” Allen said. “There’s just some that I can’t put as much velocity as I want into the ball. It’s a little painful coming through on the follow-through. The injury itself is gone. It’s just trying to get the pain management down to a level I can tolerate.”
