“The map is not the territory.” ― Alfred Korzybski ........................................................................................................... "To avoid all evil, to cultivate good, and to cleanse one's mind — this is the teaching of the Buddhas."
I like Simmons speed and athleticism. I did watch some of last night's game, and I really thought Simmons would be a more physical player. He seems to be more finesse based. I think he was assigned to shadow Burrows a lot last night, so it probably wasn't his typical game. He translates to a really good safety who can be moved around a lot. I think he needs to fill out a little bit more to fit the OLB slot a little better. By comparison, he's 20-30 lb lighter than Carter. His ability to cover a TE is something we haven't had in quite a while. I'm not sure he's the #4 guy in the draft; but, he fits a need.
I agree with your assessment here. He fills a 'need' but as of now he would fit the mold of a SS. Too thin for a LB.
It's kind of like the baseball playoffs. One team gets a bit of a lead and half the TV's in the country turn off because people actually do work in the morning. I'm not sure what marketing guru told them this was a good idea; but, they've been doing it for years. I readily admit, I did not watch the second half, and it was a good football game at half-time. I would have liked to watch; but, I'm not that vested in it to stay up until tomorrow to watch Odell create problems for his alma mater, or a decent football game for that matter.
You do realize that between California and Texas you have a population of almost 70 million. New York isn’t the center of the universe like it once was.
"The thing that makes him (Saquon Barkley) different is he has the feet and speed of a little guy, with the power and strength of a big guy," Gettleman said. "That’s what makes him so darn unique. He’s different. It’s like he was touched by the hand of God, frankly."
On a side note, it seems like a bunch of people are getting down on Trevor Lawrence because of this game. That has to be the dumbest assessment by anyone just because he had a down game against LSU's defense. He's still going #1 next year in the draft. Look over his body of work before dumbass statements about him falling are written.
"Daniel Jones looks like the actor they'd cast to play Eli Manning in a movie about Peyton Manning's life."

rodney27: You're right about the fumbling problem, tl65taog. I just don't think it can be fixed. He had in preseason, has it at a record pace now, and had the same problem at Duke. If he hasn't fixed it in all that time...I just don't know if he can.
