There are four former head coaches on the staff. Garrett and Kitchens at the NFL level. Dooley and Bielema at the university level. Lots of heads to bounce ideas and situations off of. My take is that to a great degree it will be Judge's ability to manage the coaches that will dictate the degree of success he achieves. Part of that ability will be dealing with large egos. To some extent it reminds me of Jim Lee Howell having Lombardi and Landry. I am certainly not suggesting that any of the coaches are at the Lombardi and Landry level. I am thinking much more from the perspective of managing strong personalities.

I think this is a really good group. Lots of experience despite a new head coach with no head coaching experience. I think it will all come down to chemistry. Can four former head coaches all work together under a less experienced guy? Can Joe Judge take control of the group? From what I've seen of Judge I think he can.
New York Giants: Sources tell Football Scoop Mike Treier has accepted a position on Joe Judge’s staff. Treier, who coached safeties at Marshall this past season, had accepted a role on Mike Norvell’s staff at Florida State….before being lured to join Steve Addazio’s staff at Colorado State. However, we are told he will coach in New York going forward.
Welcome Sean Spencer. New Giants DL coach, coming from Penn State.
The Penn State football program faces another significant staff change and, for the first time this offseason, it's one that impacts things on defense. Sean Spencer, a longtime James Franklin assistant who followed the head coach to Happy Valley from Vanderbilt in 2014, is taking an NFL job with the New York Giants.

rodney27: You're right about the fumbling problem, tl65taog. I just don't think it can be fixed. He had in preseason, has it at a record pace now, and had the same problem at Duke. If he hasn't fixed it in all that time...I just don't know if he can.
