Berry and healthy have been oxymorons for almost his entire career. He's 31 now, coming back from an achilles injury. He needs to do in-person auditions; which are essentially impossible right now. I doubt anyone is going to hire him until they see him run and cut. Possibly you could give him an incentive laden contract so as not to hurt your cap, and if he has a healthy, productive season he gets paid well. If he can't do the job, or he is injured most of the season, he doesn't make much over vet min. We just got done watching Bethea be too late on virtually every play, we don't need to go back there. Berry wants to be paid like an all-pro when he actually might be a very hindered aging vet. The contract should reflect the risk while factoring in rewards for him if he surprises.
Berry has had a tough time during his pro career. His 2nd year in the league he tears his ACL. His 5th years ends because he has cancer, but comes back and plays all 16 games the next year (and is overlooked for the Arthur Ashe Courage Award because of Ms. Bruce Jenner). Then he has an Achilles injury, and follows that up with complications from his Achilles injury. Dude just can't catch a break. Unless a team plans to play him wrapped up in bubble wrap, I would caution every team to stay away from him. Playing Eric Berry is like playing a game of Operation.
"Daniel Jones looks like the actor they'd cast to play Eli Manning in a movie about Peyton Manning's life."

rodney27: You're right about the fumbling problem, tl65taog. I just don't think it can be fixed. He had in preseason, has it at a record pace now, and had the same problem at Duke. If he hasn't fixed it in all that time...I just don't know if he can.
