Please don't quote this entire post in the thread, it is quite long. Just hit the reply button.
Compete to become the Fantasy God of the forums! This game was invented on the Giant forums (before they decided to delete them). I've made a modified version of it. Every year we would play this game for fun. Just for bragging rights. I won this last year (check my signature!). No one submitted an entry but me (lame! real lame guys!), but I don't think anyone would have beaten me. I had Daniel Jones as a 1st round selection. I'm not sure who else saw that coming and would have put him there! Here's your chance to take the reigning trophy from me. Come at me, who wants the crown!?
The game works like this. You fill out your 10 picks that the Giants have this year. Put the player's full name, their college name, and their position into the template.
Only make ONE entry into the game. If you want to edit your selections you are absolutely welcome to do so. These forums time stamp posts AND edits too. We will set a final edit/submission date of April 23rd 1:00AM EDT. If you submit your entry or edit your entry after that time frame your entry will be voided.

You get 5 points for guessing the correct player in the correct draft position (Example: if you have Isaiah Simmons at #4 and he's selected at #4, you get 5 points).
If you guess a player and he's drafted in a different overall slot or round, you get 2 points (for example you select someone at #238 overall and they get drafted at #247 overall).
You get 2 points if you guess the correct player position in each draft slot. (Example: You say in the #4 overall slot that Tristan Wirfs, Iowa - OL gets selected, but instead Mekhi Becton, Louisville - OL is selected. You get 2 points for guessing the correct position (OL) but wrong player. If you guess Tristan Wirfs, Iowa - OL at #4 overall and he's selected at #4 overall you DO NOT get the extra 2 points since you received 5 points for getting the pick correct.) This is to keep the game more balanced. Also PLEASE READ THIS, player positions in the draft get screwed up on defense. You have guys that are sort of LBs, but they might be DEs, some are hybrids called EDGE players on big boards online. For simplicity sake lets combine positions like this - DEs, DTs, and EDGE players will be grouped as DL (defensive line). Linebackers will be combined separately. So OLB, ILB, and LB will just be known as LB. Safety is S and Cornerbacks are CB. In terms of the offensive side of things we will combine all OL positions as simply OL. No need to specify RT, LT, T, G, C. Just label it as OL. Every other position on offense is unique (RB, TE, WR, QB). If somehow you have a FB (fullback) being selected we will just combine that with RB. Use NFL.com's draft prospect page to acquire their position. We will use that as the "official" position designation since if you go on another website they might list an EDGE player as a LB.
Here's the page to all of the NFL draft prospects:
www.nfl.com/draft/tracker/prospects
There could be instances where a player doesn't show up on that page. We can extract their position from elsewhere.
Bonus Points:
If you chain together correct players in a row you get an extra 3 points each time it happens. (Example: You have Isaiah Simmons being selected at #4 overall and Yetur Gross-Matos at #36 overall and both get selected in both respective slots. You get 5 points for Simmons, 5 Points for Gross-Matos, and a bonus 3 points for chaining them (13 points total). If you get pick #99 incorrect the chain is broken. So if you get the exact player correct at pick #110 that will start a new potential chain bonus if you got #150 exactly correct).
You get chain bonus points if you get player positions correct in a row too. You get 2 extra points for chaining two positions in a row. The bonus maxes out at 2 points but will be continually rewarded if you continue to chain more positions in a row. The chain stops/resets if you get a position incorrect or you get an exact player correct (Example: you have Yetur Gross-Matos at #36 and he's selected at #36 overall, the position chain resets/ends). This is to keep the game balanced and gives people a chance to earn points who don't get the exact player correct per selection.
College Bonus:
Under the template below is a section labeled "College". In this section you place a college name that you think the Giants might select multiple players from. If the Giants select 2 or more players from that college you get 3 points. That's why it is important to fill out the college name next to your player's name in the template, because it will make it easier to grade the bonus points at the end if the Giants do in-fact draft multiple players from the same college. The bonus does not chain. It's a max of 3 points.
Trade Round Bonus:
Under the template below is a section labeled "Trade round". Here you guess one round that the Giants will make a trade in. If the Giants make a trade in the 3rd round, you put "3rd Round" in that area. This will be worth 3 points if guessed correctly.
Mr. Irrelevant Bonus:
The Mr. Irrelevant bonus point. Guess what position the very last player in the entire draft is. This is worth 1 point. Use the same position rules from above (combining DL players and combining OL players). An extra way to earn a point! This year the Giants have the Mr. Irrelevant pick! So you can use that player's position for that bonus section to double down on points OR you could try saying a different position to help your chance at gaining a point. You get to play this game how you want! 😃
