Good podcast, scroll down:

Starting at 3:58 they discuss the decision to cut Bobby Hart. They go on to say how Reese and Mcadoo were delusional about the OL, wrongly believing that Hart and Flowers were/are legitimate NFL tackles.
Reese really blew it with Flowers. He wanted to save his draft reputation by standing behind Flowers, but the fact is he drafted a bust and should have moved on from Flowers as quickly as possible. The Bobby Hart thing is even more mysterious. He sucked on the field and had a bad attitude off the field and yet this didn't stop Reese and Mcadoo from making him the starter at RT.
The word "delusional" describes Jerry Reese pretty well. Under Gettleman, The Giants "aren't going to pretend anymore that Flowers and Hart are NFL quality tackles." (comment comes around the 9 minute mark).
I'm starting to think Reese and Ross placed a little too much emphasis on the combine and not enough emphasis on the tape. Flowers and Apple both looked great at the combine. Flowers with those long arms and all the bench reps. Apple was fast and quick with long arms. Apple's tape was pretty ugly. Flower's tape showed a guy without great feet, sloppy.
Gettleman sounds like a big tape guy and so he will hopefully place more importance on actual performance (rather than projected) and this will hopefully improve the Giants draft record going forward.
