2020 is the year of chaos, and it's not the year to consider anything normal. If there was a year for Judge to get his feet wet and start to form a team, this is it. He can make mistakes and they really won't matter. He can try different personnel packages and see what works. Most of all, he has the ability to get young people on the field and let them learn. They can only learn so much in practice. They can learn a ton playing against good opponents and evaluating what they saw on film. Some of those young players will fail, and that's OK. Some others will show that they show up on game day and get it, that's really OK. Guys like Ballentine will crash and burn; but, we needed to know that. Guys like Peart and Thomas will gain valuable information that will make them better in the long run. I would love to have a winner. I would love to make the playoffs. But those things were never reasonable in 2020. I just want to see late season improvement. I want to see some guys lose starting jobs, and better guys finding starting jobs. I want the rookies to enhance the depth for the future. Take 2020 for what it is, a year that we were not going to be competitive. There will be a game sometime, maybe soon or maybe later, when the last guys on offense and the last guys on defense get it, and things will start to come together. It's frustrating to watch the learning process for sure. But I believe these coaches can get this team to the Ah Ha moment when the lights come on, and the team starts playing team football.
