I have no idea what you’re talking about here.
I didn’t “erase the rest.” I literally listed every OL transaction (draft, FA and trade) since 2018. If I missed some please inform me.
And again you too are missing the point. Gettleman has pumped a lot of equity into the OL for three years. All three years it’s been one of the worst OLs in the NFL. Debilitating. In an offensive centric NFL we have had one of the worst offenses in the NFL.
If you think this is predicated upon three transactions, over the course of three years, that didn’t pan out then I have no idea what to tell you.
If DG was fired at the end of this past season I would have been totally fine with it. He wasnt, and I will get behind him and the rest of the Giants bc thats the type of fan I am. Theres all different types I guess.
I always root for the Giants to not only win but to obliterate the other team. Please don’t question my fandom or think yours is superior in anyway just because I can objectively criticize components of this team.
I actually don’t mind Zeitler’s play this year. He eventually got it together and played well. But that doesn’t excuse his previous year of poor performance. What I’m most concerned with is his contract. In year 4 the Giants are still in a significant rebuild. So the business side of things has to be factored in.
You erased Halapio who was out starting center. How is that a “no name bottom of the roster” type of player?
And by the logic, Lemieux is one of those guys, right?
But here’s the deal, again. We have a GM who came in 2018 and publicly recognized that the OL was a mess. The fans were psyched. The GM said his number one priority was to fix the OL. The fans were psyched. Constantly using the word “hog mollie” on forums across the cyber world. The GM then pumped a lot of equity into the OL over the course of the next three years. Over the course of those three years the Giants have had one of the worst OLs and offenses in the NFL.
The fans are not psyched. Constantly using the “OL” excuse on forums across the cyber world. For 10 years now.
So I responded to a poster here who suggests that this same GM should select another OL 11th overall this year.
Do you now understand where I’m coming from?
(I also left this out of paragraph four: after all the talk and all the hype of fixing the OL, that same GM selects a RB #2 overall as his first big statement move)
