Without a good OL...not great...just good....he is ineffective . A mobile QB is needed and Eli does best with play action and normal protection as most QBs would
Seems we have a very stubborn front office and they will stick with Flowers, stick with Eli and not realize that the window has closed. Its a shame with the offensive weapons we could have but you can only rebuild so much.
The D was rebuilt at the expense of the OL. When you draft poorly this is the result.
Problem is some teams like NE would make the trades and cuts needed. Giants don't do that...they stick with it until its too late
Ahh nuts. I saw Joe DiMaggio in an Oakland A's uniform. It was bright green and the man was born to carry the Yankee pinstripes and subdued greys, not a damn softball uniform. If I had to see Mickey Mantle in any other than that great NY logo and pinstripes I would have cried. Eli is a Giant and I don't want to see him anywhere else. Besides that this team is ONE maybe two players away from a superbowl. Who do you think can replace Eli and bring us close? No one!!
I rather see Eli finish his career with the Giants. He is definitely not the QB he use to be. He’s not going to put the team on his shoulders and perform in the playoffs like he did in 2011. He just needs to be a game manager and keep the offense on the field. The defense can bring us a ring if they stay healthy and aren’t on the field all game. Run the ball, dink and dunk your way down the field and milk the clock.
What kind of ill-conceived topic is this? First of all, the Giants aren't trading Eli. Second, who the hell would trade for an aging QB with a bloated salary? Thats how you get fired from a front office/coaching position. This is just common sense and its not going to happen.
"Daniel Jones looks like the actor they'd cast to play Eli Manning in a movie about Peyton Manning's life."

rodney27: You're right about the fumbling problem, tl65taog. I just don't think it can be fixed. He had in preseason, has it at a record pace now, and had the same problem at Duke. If he hasn't fixed it in all that time...I just don't know if he can.
