Continual Bashing of Each Other over Difference of Opinion on the Giants
While all of us are highly frustrated with the Giants ineptitude for the past decade, the continual and repetitive nature of bashing the Giants has undermined the friendly nature we strive for on the fan forum. We all know that Gettleman needs to be replaced. We also know that this may or may not happen. Personally I can see the Giants pulling off a number of wins in the second half of the season. Hopefully that does not create an excuse for Gettleman to not being fired or retire. It will likely create a situation in which Judge will be retained. It is also conceivable that some of us or perhaps many of us will not be happy with the future steps taken by Mara and Tisch. Regardless of what happens, in order to continue the progress we have made in making the forum a great place to discuss the Giants and football in general, we need to reduce the level of negativity about the Giants even though it is well deserved. Thank you for your cooperation.
Polarizing Topics
Unfortunately their are certain topics that are of a polarized nature. Discussions about covid in general is one of those topics. Please refrain from discussing covid or other topics that are of a polarizing nature. Thank you for your cooperation.
Game Day Thread Participants
In recognition of the very high level of emotions associated with game day, we have traditionally cut members a great deal of slack in terms of what is said during the game. With that said, the game day thread this past weekend (October 31st) got out of control in terms of personal insults. We consider the game day thread a very important part of what BBWC.com offers. Moderating the game day thread in real time is difficult at best and virtually impossible at worse.
To some extent it is a good news bad news type of situation. The good news is that the level of participation has grown significantly. The bad news is that the level of participation has grown significantly. I am hopeful that thread participants will do a better job of self editing what is posted in the heat of the moment. Please make it a habit to reread what you have posted to ensure that any personal insults are quickly deleted through self editing. Going forward, managing the game thread represents a big challenge for the BBWC management team. It is imperative that we get a high level of cooperation from all participants. We will greatly appreciate your cooperation. Thank you.
