Pros: Miller is a fast flowing and loose moving linebacker prospect that has numbers to numbers type of range. He mostly aligns as the teams Mike, but will has some spurts of where he lines up at Sam in passing situations. A bit top heavy, but his upper body strength helps him be an effective tackler in space. Targets that encounter him immediately go down when coming into contact with him. Miller is a highly effective delayed blitzer who has the closing speed to eliminate room quickly between him and targets. He does his best to get hands on inside/slot receivers looking to enter the second level and he attempts to widen route paths as much as possible to disrupt flow/timing.

Cons: As a zone dropper, he shows some hip stiffness as he faces challenges with keeping up with tight ends and slot targets in man coverage. A lot of weight is distributed throughout his upper half combined with short arms. His lack of length shows up when forced to be head on targets. Shedding can be a problem as he’s forced out of plays when blockers are able to able to square up and land inside of his frame.

Leinweber: Smart linebacker with good eyes and play recognition. Miller recognizes play action to gain depth and finds ball carriers, triggering quickly when he has a free run at them. He is a very reliable tackler, wrapping opponents up on a consistent basis. His effort is apparent, running down plays and making tackles downfield. In coverage, he locates vertical routes and is able to turn and run before passing them off to safeties

The Florida LB’s calling cards are strength and sideline-to-sideline speed. Miller appears to possess impressive upper body strength, which is evident in multiple ways. When he builds a head of steam, he’s a formidable tackler, demonstrating the ability to lay the wood on contact. Additionally, there were few examples of opposing players evading his grasp once he successfully wraps up.

Although his high school testing suggests otherwise, there are examples on his college tape where Miller exhibits excellent sideline-to-sideline speed. This was particularly evident against Texas A&M, where he flew across the field to break up a pass intended for Jalen Wydermyer. Another example of his speed was when going toe to toe with Ainias Smith downfield.

Miller was lauded for his play-recognition prowess, and he has demonstrated the ability to read the play, fight through traffic, and be impactful. He has also proven to be effective in zone coverage. Furthermore, he uses football intelligence to good use as a blitzer, displaying an appreciation of timing to get into the backfield.
Areas for improvement

There are definite areas for improvement in Miller’s game. Despite demonstrating solid play speed, sometimes his motor runs cold, and you get the feeling that he could chase with a little more vigor. Against Georgia, he made Zamir White look like Usain Bolt with a sluggish approach to pursuing the running back down.

Moreover, there are some concerns over his athletic profile. The Florida LB isn’t remarkably fluid in his movements, which is noticeable when in man coverage. There is no flipping of his hips which leaves him at a disadvantage against twitchier slot receivers.

Finally, although he has impressive strength, Miller’s shorter than ideal length means that he struggles to escape from the clutches of blockers. This occurs when he can’t outright overpower his opponent, effectively neutralizing the Florida Gator.

Oklahoma University will be losing a game-wrecker to the NFL as Linebacker Nik Bonitto is foregoing the bowl game and focusing on preparation for the 2022 NFL Draft. The 6'3" 240-pound Junior from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, finishes his career in Norman with 117 tackles, 19 sacks, one forced fumble and one interception. Bonitto was a versatile edge defender for the Oklahoma defense. His tape shows fluidity and lateral quickness when asked to drop into coverage. He can beat tackles with his burst and solid hand usage on passing downs. Questions may arise about his frame, but with time and adherence, Bonitto will look to add power to his traits and round out a solid skillset at the NFL level.

Q--Why don't teams draft offensive lineman in the first round?
Why are teams so adverse to drafting IOL in the first part of round 1? It's not sexy but they are so important. I'm wondering where you see Linderbaum and Green going? (From a Giants fan) — Geoff M.

Generally speaking, they are positions that are easier found without premium picks. Same as RB. There will always be exceptions - like Quenton Nelson. Is Kenyon Green on that level? I don't think so. Teams view him as more of a late 1, early 2. Could Linderbaum crash the top-15? That is possible, although some of his struggles in pass pro have teams a little concerned.- Dane Brugler

OFFENSIVE TACKLE

Charles Cross, Mississippi State (Riser)
This was a tough choice between Cross and Ikem Ekwonu from NC State, but I decided to go with the player I felt had the more significant leap in performance. Cross is a former five-star recruit with the kind of ballerina-esque feet that offensive line coaches drool over.

The problem was he needed to add weight and strength, as he allowed over forty pressures in 2020 for the Bulldogs. He was a completely different player in 2021, allowing 18 total pressures and QB hits. He will likely be named All-SEC First Team and has more than a good enough shot to be selected in the top ten of the 2022 NFL Draft.-?

Well I stayed up late scouting the big fella and I think he would make the perfect bookend to A Thomas. 

Look at the hand usage. This is what I see most. This guy has the correct tools- let him play LT and shift AT to Right and insert the Nc St or B.C prospect at Guard and MISSION COMPLETED!!!!
