I'd look at DT, CB or OL.
Then look at that bridge QB. Stay away from Cousins, D'Arnold or JJ. I like Jameis, gunslinger with a big arm, experience and see if you can work to limit the ints. At the least he'll be exciting ...
Teams never trade back further than the players they love. Example
Giants are at 3
Let’s say they like 5 players in row 1. That’s it. Only 5. Who knows who they are. Let’s say it’s
Sanders
Hunter
Ward
Graham
Johnson
It’s pretty safe to say most teams top 5 will be similar maybe in a different order. So that means a good GM will not trade out past pick 5 guaranteeing they get 1 true 1st round grade or row 1 player . That means only the Jaguars and Patriots are teams they want to trade with maybe Ward is in how 2 but a team like the Raiders want to move up and the pass rusher from Penn State is in row 1. So maybe you trade to 6 knowing the Raiders are taking QB And you still get a row 1 guy
That’s the reason why you don’t see to many moves top of the draft unless it’s a QB rich draft and teams needing a QB are back several picks and trade the farm to move up. This draft has no top tier QB so my guess is there will be no movement.
The only thing I can think of that could cause some movement is a team like the Giants trade for a McCarthy and now the Vikings own pick 3 and will move back to 6 with the Raiders That’s how the rich get richer
I love the idea but I doubt the Vikings trade McCarthy. I see a tag on Darnold and hold onto McCarthy for another year just to make sure Darnold can repeat good play.
You never know though.
There are still veterans out there like Garappalo who played well today, Cousins, Wentz who stunk today, Mariota and Pickett if someone wants to risk a year with one of those guys. Cousins is the cream of that crop. No one I think will trade for Cousins due to his contract. So my guess is the Falcons will have to cut him like the Broncos did with Wilson
