Matt Breida and Antonio Williams, both brought over from Buffalo.
Breida had 26 rushes, williams 12.
averaged Breida 4.8, williams 5.3 per carry
I dont know what to make of this.
Breida is going into his 6th year, williams year #2.
Is there another F.A. on the horizon thats better or are we going with this tandem as Barkleys backup.
becaue I will say this, BARKLEY must stay healthy, and I do not know if he is a 25-35 touch guy anymore.
theres some 'names', but they'll also want $$money and we dont have it for them,
so a Sony Michel, or Corderelle Patterson are not going to be Giants. Boston Scott is interesting, but I dont think so.
Both RBs from the Cardinals are FAs, james conner and chase edminds, but too expensive.
But after the failed Davontae Booker backup experiment, I think this regime goes younger and better.
so that would eliminate David Johnson, Davonta Freeman, and Latavious Murray
But there are diamonds in the rough,
Duke Johnson of Miami, I liked him from college from the 'U', U of Miami. Ronald Jones of the Bucs. (where bruce arians did not know how to use him, obviously he was not leonard Fournette.
I dont know who has been signed or not, most of this info is ONLY a month old. but signings happen fast. so if theres an error here, just correct me and move forward without going bonkers.
of course we just might stay put with what we have . Breida and Williams and a Gary Brightwell who is going into yr 2. Dont know what or if anything he has to offer, carried once last year.
PS- and drafting a RB in the late rounds would not add or subtract anything to this bunch, its why they stayed with what they have, but FA's are available.
