Could we all think logically....for once?
There is no QB in this draft that is worthy of being all in by trading up. With 8 wins we probably secured from the 20 to 25 position for 2023's draft. Daniel Jones HAS definitely done enough, thus far, and WILL ABSOLUTELY be brought back. With that said, do you bring in a Free Agent or draft a late rounder to compete? Of Course you do.
However, draft a Center, draft a Guard along with atleast two WR's and another TE allowing Jones to go to war with a formidable group of talent around him. We have anywhere from 9 to 11 draft picks. Lets spend 5 picks on Offense with a few Free Agents and we could be better than we think. Stop with all the hating on Jones and enjoy being 8-5-1 because my thoughts before the season would have us at 5-8-1. We are rebuilding and if we can do some winning while doing so it will bring an awesome atmosphere and that is something we have not had in a while. Go G-Men. Go Daniel and Go Saquon. I want them both back with a better supporting cast. Lets get everybody back and Healthy.
And what FA QB do you bring in to compete? Or what late rounder do you bring in to compete?
Why would you bring Jones back only to have him compete for the starting position? That is incongruent with the notion that he has solidified the starting position and is worth a market value contract.
Also you want to spend at least five of our nine draft picks on offense? Have you seen the ILB and secondary?
I'd appreciate responses to the questions.
We have 9 to 11 draft picks. My first round pick would be the best player available from WR, LB, Edge or corner. Maybe a Joey Porter Jr or Christian Gonzales are both CB's. You probably have DE Foskey or maybe WR Njigba. Same in the second round by drafting the best available CB, WR or LB . Add a center and guard in this draft such as Luke Wypler a Center for Ohio state or Guard Emil Ekiyor Jr. They may both be available for our late 3rd or 4th round pick. Continue to build thru the draft with a few F/A's mixed in. What is wrong with this approach.
