There is a certain Groundhog Day feeling to this NY Giants season so far. I approach each game feeling relatively upbeat and I go to bed happy... except for that one time. From the go this year something has felt different. I noticed it most at end of games and I posted a few times how calm I felt vs how I felt in prior years. It's all body language on the field, lack of false starts, people in the right positions and clever routs etc. Great running... it all adds up to a certain consistancy of thought: Football Is Fun Again.
Deja' Vu.
The Giants have won four straight games
“But in the long run, that’s not enough.”- L Williams.
Deja Vu.
The Giants had just allowed a season-high 452 yards, surpassing last week’s previous high of 406, against the Ravens. For the second straight week, the Giants gave up a big number in the first half — 256 yards against Baltimore, 246
“I was super happy,” he said of that final stand, before changing his tone. “But at the same time, I was a little upset with how the game went. We’re going to take every win that we can — and be happy about it — but at the same time, I don’t think we played up to our standards on all sides of the ball. I think we’re going to have to come in [Monday] and figure it out.”- L Williams
I like the concept of keeping games close and winning late. It works especially well with our Running back situation but we all know we have to be better. These last two games with Running Backs gashing us that's got to stop! We need to get back to who we are on D which is a stop the run first sort of Defense. That's what Wink wants and that's what I want.
The NY Giants are NOT a bend but don't break defense. We dictate. We are in control.
Fabian Moreau.
This guy has shined all year. What a find! I constantly see his hat around the ball... he had 8 solo tackles the game before and on the goal line last game it was Fabian who saved the day. Deja' Vu.
Danny Dimes-- Using his legs so wisely he was not getting hit at all on the scampers to the sidelines. Free yardage. Deja' Vu. The passing yards they got up to 200 and we will go North from here! Danny came over to the sidelines and he had his second significant moment with Daboll. the first you may remember Daboll was screaming at him--> That seems to have woken up Danny! And this time there was a grateful embrace and a shake of the hand & grasp of the arm. I read from that- The Coach is looking at his QB slightly differently and maybe we all should too.
Deja' Vu.
Thankfully we are not yet in place where things could wrong. The players will not read about themselves till after the bye week. I think we will get the same great effort this Sunday against Seattle. Deja' Vu..
We will playing against a familiar face at QB.. Don't ask how, I have no idea, but the guy we ran out of town he's kind of good....
Giants will do what they have to do to come Out with a Win.
FINAL SCORE - Deja'Vu
