The answer is most definetly "yes" but a lot of fortuitious things have to happen
First: they can go deep because there's a core of superb players and a nice group of supporting players.
Jones, Saquon, Thomas, Williams, Olugari, Adoree, Mckinney, Olugari and Thibs...Nine core players that are superb and (very loosely speaking) in the conversation for the pro bowl.
Gates, Love, Bredeson, Ward, Darius Slayton, Belinger.... modest group of support players.
Leaves almost leaves 6 jags and it's there they have to get contributions.
Evan Neal....has to be better. First year & a long schedule, it's questionable. if he's going to suddenly get better, on the other hand, I believe in his talent.
I would put Nick Gates in the same class....talented but in the catedory of "next year"
UNLIKELY
Olugari and Thibs...Also have to be disruptive and at the top of their game.
LIKELY
Hodgins, Richie James...the definition of"jags" and worse Jags who didn't have a pre-season with their qb. I believe strongly in the dual brilliance of Saquon and the maligned Daniel Jones. The threat of the run (both SAquon and Jones) should open things up for the receivers. And somehow they have to rise to the occasion, provide deep threats and counter 8 in the box.
So that's how one mostly unqualifed viewer sees it.
Gates and Evan Neal, Richie James and Hodgins have to find a way to step away from ordinary and move to "more than competent" or just "good".
And then the core ...saquaon, Lawrence, Thibs, Williamsm, Adorre, Olujari, Jones and Thomas have to be at their dominant best
all those things need to happen and if they do..., even if that's unlikely..I think this team can beat anyone in the NFC....and it's a year, thankfully, when Buffalo, Kansis City and Cinncy are in the other division
