what have you all observed?
It has been said that this draft is not top heavy, with few blue chip prospects. 4 to 5 Qbs could go in round 1 before the NYG pick supposedly, which could help a good player slip to 25.
Although not top heavy, it has been said that this draft is extremely deep with 2nd and third round graded players. If you take a look at NFL.com this year there are more grades over 6.0 than ever before. I count 160 players with a grade of 6.0 or higher.

bill bellichick once said that fans and media focus too much on round 1 and that the heart of your team comes from round 2 and 3 of the draft. So will the NYG trade back in round 1?
Another observation is that Peter King and other media members are saying that they are being told that the media is off base this year with their mock drafts and rankings, even more so than usual. Peter King had a good article about how back in the day the media used to get valid intel easily from teams but now the teams keep everything a secret.
So expect the unexpected.
The covid situation. Because of the extra year of eligibility, there are many more players generally and many more OLDER players in the draft. So what will that mean?
The NYG drafted pretty much all very young prospects last year age wise and targeted "upside" guys like ezeudu and flott.
Older prospects means more pro ready, generally, but often with less "upside". Will it matter to the NYG?
Another observation is that the 2023 NFL draft is absolutely Loaded with "outliers". Just look around at the height and weight of these prospects. It's crazy how many guys being talked about as higher round draft picks are "outliers".
The NYG have shown very clearly that they are willing to draft "outliers". In other words guys that are lighter than normally preferred, guys that are shorter than normally preferred etc. It's different than past NYG regimes where Parcells etc. was vey much against that.
What else yo guys got as observations? Thoughts? What say you all?
