Forget the well deserved negativism for minute, if the Heroes pull an upset and down the villaneous, evil, blackhat wearing 49er's they've catepaulted into an different ozone layer.
Problem is, I'm having trouble finding a playsible win Did anyone see Grey's passpro in exhibition time? Now you understand the problem.
OK, straining more than a little here's a winning scenario.
The cards had a decent defense and reorded something like six sacs in the game previous to our visit.
In the second half we had long drives (from seventy five yards and so) and wern't stopped once and it's likely the winning field goal could have finished with a touch down if they'd wanted.
There's a lot of crap around that singular effort but still there's hope there.
Second wishing well trip...We are stronger at the qb position and that matters.
Somehow give this guy time and he'll kill you...."one if by sea and two if by land". the midnight ride of Paul Revere.
I revere Jones and with a little time he'll kill "one by arm and two by feet."
And he's not just a straight line runner anymore he jukes guys like a halfback.
Justin Hyatt can loosen up any defense...just a little time needed.
No Thomas, No Saquon, 40 - 0 opener. How can they buy time? 13 formation? Then there's fewer guys downfield and Hyatt can be doubled.
I don't have an answer. Both tackles should need help and the interior O line should too. Put a qb in an impossible position and he won't succeed and BBI will blame him. "well he doesn't read defenses well" when you've been chased and sat upon by three hundred and forty lb'ers clawing at your privates, there's a lot of things you might not do well. but don't tell that to Laz., he wants Jones to function while resting on his back.
Oh well, I still believe that there's talent on the roster and I'm going to force myself to find plausible "win" scenarios. I just need some time alone and quiet music in the background and maybe some of Stoney's elixir.
