I notice a few interesting changes in player usage last night:
Paris Campbell - 0 Offensive snaps, 3 Special Teams snaps. I find this odd. He's not injured. I don't mind him on Kick returns at all. Just odd he got 0 Offensive snaps. It looks like he lost his reps to Wandale Robinson who played 60% of the offensive snaps and received the most targets and receptions. I think Campbell might be a guy they try to sell at the trade deadline.
Isaiah Simmons / Miccah McFadden - Simmons played 100% of the snaps last week while Mcfadden was injured, only 18% of the snaps last night. Mcfadden played really well, I just thought we'd see more Simmons against a mobile QB. Both are playing better each week.
Jordan Riley / A'Shawn Robinson - Riley has been healthy inactive since week 1. Riley the rookie gets (7) snaps, Robinson the $2.5M free agent only (6) snaps.
Cordale Flott usage is up. He is up to 66% after getting 0 reps for the first 3 weeks. He's been playing pretty darn good. Allowed a TD but only 24 rec yds on 7 targets.
*Interesting note - 8 different Giants covered Stephon Diggs on his 16 targets last night.
Isaiah Hodgins usage has been reduced a little every week since Week 2 (51 snaps) to Week 6 (18 snaps).
Jalin Hyatt the opposite. Hyatt played 55 snaps in weeks 1-3 combined. Last night he played 56 snaps for 73%
Daniel Bellinger and multiple TE sets were up. Waller 92% / Bellinger 58% / Cager 7%. Giants used multiple TEs over 50% last night. The 1st half goal line play had all 3 TE lined up on the right side. Bellinger had the highest Pass Blocking Grade on the team last night. He's only been targeted 4 times this year in the passing game. This was the Giants lowest use of 11-personel of the season (1RB, 1TE, 3WR) We'll probably see more multiple TE sets until the O-Line starts looking a little better.
Not a personnel usage note but I read somewhere that the Giants only Blitzed 7 times last night. Thats only 11%, Wink's defense was 2nd in the NFL at 40% blitz rate going into the game.
