“I think that the cookie-cutter answer is we’re focused on Green Bay,” Martindale said, referencing Monday’s game against the Packers, “but I don’t ever give you cookie-cutter answers. This game always has been and always will be about the players. I want to keep it that way. I always say I owe the players my composure.”
WE can beat Green Bay. In fact we owe them. One of my unpleasant experiences in our stadium was against Green Bay; a game we had won until the very end when we didn't. I had the misfortune of sitting next to a Green Bay fan. These are Wiley not to be trusted fans. They pretend to be nice and then tell you to stop swearing in-front of your own child.
Listen Mother $@#! this is my damn stadium I have two seats from the original Meadowlands complete with certificate out in the yard right now-- seats that saw LT play the game!
Don't tell me I can't yell at my team for giving up a lead in the last seconds... Man that guy was lucky he didn't get a knuckle sandwich.
We can beat this Green Bay Team.
I don't know how far to take this De'Vito -- Sopranos conection to Giant lore.. is this a passing fad? or the start of something. If a passing fad, that fad is passing pretty well. Already I see numerous rather sobering looks at Danny's production here and we are all realizing that we were taken advantage of. The excuses.. the excuses what a load of bunk.
We were forced to wait and wait for Danny to get better while blaming everyone else around him... and now we are suddenly better although nothing has changed.
The world is a cruel place when your 3rd string QB is better than your $160 million dollar QB. Can John Mara even get his head around that-- I would doubt it-- these rich people once they spend the money they try and try to justify justify.
Well De'Vito can take large step towards legitimacy this Sunday night by eliminating, by vanquishing Green Bay.
It's that type of game we never win... prime time. And perhaps that change, that breath of fresh air will make it's way all the way into the owners box where the air is stagnant and cold.
