Here are the 10 reasons:
THE INTERIOR OFFENSIVE LINE CAN BE SPECIAL
JAMES BETTCHER CAN FINALLY RUN HIS SCHEME THE WAY HE WANTS TO (key is talent upgrade in secondary)
THE GIANTS FACE THEIR EASIEST SCHEDULE IN YEARS
THE GIANTS DEFENSIVE LINE IS YOUNG AND TALENTED (Lawrence has the potential of a rookie defensive player of the year)
WE HAVEN’T SEEN THE BEST OF SAQUON BARKLEY (I am a huge believer in this reason)
THE GIANTS HAVE AN UNDERRATED SET OF SKILL POSITIONS
THE 2018 CLASS ENTERS YEAR TWO
THE 2019 CLASS ALREADY LOOKS PROMISING
ELI MANNING ENTERS YEAR TWO IN THE SAME SCHEME
So we may be taking a leap of faith here. On one hand, Manning is entering the second year in the same offensive scheme. In theory, Manning should be more well-versed with how to attack defenses according to Pat Shurmur’s schematic plan. However, it’s also possible we’ve already seen the best of the 39-year-old veteran two-time Super Bowl MVP and it’s only downhill from here.
To be fair to Manning, he strung together arguably one of his most efficient seasons from a statistical standpoint in 2018 despite playing with a makeshift offensive line that swapped out three-of-five starters in the middle of the season. In addition to an offensive line in flux, Manning was without his best wide receiver (Odell Beckham Jr.) and his second-best receiving option (Evan Engram) for four games each.

Manning finished with a career-high 66.0 completion rate, a career-low in interceptions with 11, his best quarterback rating (92.4) since 2015, and he still managed his best yards per attempt average (7.5) since the 2011 season. If you ask scouts and executives around the NFL, they will point to yards per attempt average as the key indicator of a quarterback's production and efficiency
