Some takeaways from today's #NYG practice: Saquon Barkley's stutter-step, jump stop through the hole in behind Kevin Zeitler as a thing of beauty. You won't get to see as much from the run game in practice, but when you do, it's worth noting.

Sean Chandler was back in the second-team mix at safety with Julian Love and Mike Thomas. Usually happened when Love went down to the box in nickel. Was interesting that Chander was FS. Good development for him that he's getting those reps after missing the spring

DeAndre Baker gave up a few catches today, but I thought his best play came on a throwback screen to Evan Engram. Baker read the play, dodged Mike Remmers and stopped the play for a short gain, maybe a loss.

Ascending players with more playing time: Corey Ballentine, Oshane Ximines, Tae Davis and Ryan Connelly. Expect to hear more from them over the next week or so. They're going to get more to see how they handle the responsibility. #NYGiants

Bunch of notes from today's practice:
-Another sharp day for Eli. He looks very comfortable throwing the intermediate passes in this offense. Hit Bennie Fowler with a strike today. But his one deep ball to Tate was so under-thrown that Peppers committed PI.

-Another rough day for Jones. He threw one INT and had another dropped by Ryan Connelly. He was simply not very accurate today.
-Worked a ton on screens to RBs, WRs and even one to Engram. Get ready for a lot of that.
-Engram made a nice one-handed (prob unnecessarily) TD grab.

-Hate declaring TDs on runs with no live tackling, but Barkley probably would have taken one 60 yards to the house. Just a killer jump cut into and through the hole in a blink.
-Ximines knocked down a Jones pass for the second straight practice.

-Shepard ran routes in team drills with a non-contact jersey. WR coach Tyke Tolbert wasn't happy when DeAndre Baker appeared to make minimal contact with Shep on a route. Shep also fielded punts one-handed.
-Antonio Hamilton had another strip (of Russell Shepard). Love recovered

-DL Olsen Pierre got some reps with the first-team D in sub packages.
-Just when safety Sean Chandler appeared buried, he got some reps with the second-team D in sub packages.
