There comes a time in every gunfighters life when he finds himself right up a tree buck naked. Exposed. It's sometimes more humiliating than losing a gun fight that's why they did it. It was called various things... a Louisiana Hayride, A Mississippi Bird Nest A Boston Bunge. The easiest answer when a town or territory got the best of you and you awoke naked in a tree was Just to move on... Moving On... Skiddaddle I believe became a word about this time.
Dear Danielle made some real nice throws and some not so nice throws and he got the stuffen' kicked out of him by the Vikings. Now he's got to pack his things and MOVE ON out of town and head to Foxboro. You wouldn't think he have a chance in this next fight. Why challenge Old Tom anyway?
You all know by now I see a certain ' Old west ' Aspect to this NYG season. It could be Shakespearean but it's really gunfighter on gunfighter, replacing an idol, an old timer and challenging other old timers to the draw... that's what's happening here... so I thought long and hard about which old gunfighter Tom Brady is. A few of the most famous came to mind but there's something about Tom that makes him different... he's a guy you could of once underestimated and now he's pretty fabulous. He reminds me of John King Fisher.
JKF was a bad boy from Birth he was on and out of prisons from age 16 on....He was said to have had a very flamboyant style, always wearing brightly colored clothes and carrying his signature twin-ivory-handled pistols. Fisher was known for gunning down members of his own gang, beating people to death with a branding iron and even shooting unarmed men.!! Is that not Tom Brady!!! He is also believed to have killed no less than 16 men.
So this is what Danny Dimes is walking into. Right into The Teeth of the mastermind evil genius defense and opposing the oldest Gun in the West. It's not a good set up folks we all know that. But History has a way of making heros and in this game the Giants hope to pull the biggest upset ever. The Patriots are riding on a high and probably licking their chops, they see a NYG Defense that was absolute Swiss cheese last week- oh the stats are bad. Man the game was bad enough but the stats are really really bad.
And enter the real Pat Shurmer-- heeeee's Back! Mr winey.... Mr I cannot take the blame for anything... The fabulous running play out of the end zone that completely changed the momentum of getting a turnover didn't really matter according to Shurmer because we lost by how much? How Much... so two points did not matter... That's tough to hear from a Head Coach it really is... this is representation of Shurmer's various weaknesses- his bad play calling, his inability to take fault and his $@#!ly defensive nature- "that's a hard question".. he says... we all know what he means... that's what the guy on the radio said I didn't get.. good job guys...
Lets assume the Giants clean up the tackling score early and the Pats are not as prepared as usual... I'd like to see the guys take back their pride Thursday night but to do that they have to realize they lost it... The team seams satisfied with how they played in a way... The film does not lie so by Wed they should be pretty mad and ready to move on. We don't have a running game so lets not pretend we do... Our receivers need finessing. I think it's time maybe to move the rookie up to No 1 slot and use Shep as a 2... There is something wrong with the receiver mix right now and for sure we have to figure out where this $36 mil pickup Golden Tate fits in--> So assume we have a Golden Tate moment and go up 14-0 Thursday night... I'm sure we still lose but this could happen. If it doesn't.. if Tate does not get involved... it looks like another Prima Donna is about to act out...
Back to Danny Dimes I did see something last game I didn't like and that was the staring at one receiver the whole way too much... especially every time to Engram... I've noticed this in my scouting at times he can fall into this trap... That Bad Danny was back we have to shake that, look a safety off and go the other way....
You would think 44-0 this game but the Giants have a lot to play for. If we are going to allow Zimmer to beat us three times in a row-- the very coach Mara wanted initially-- well that's got to hit Shurmer right where it hurts... so there is great need to put on a show against Bill Belichick for everything he represents about the old Giants. If you listen Bill we are a great team offensively and we just do not know it. Pointedly he did not dress our defense.
What a bunch of losers I'm sorry... I know you are not supposed to talk that way about your team but really... I'm still not sure what happened but rather than pursue anything or anyone this week lets just maintain our gaps and push forwards because any movement and misdirection Ayyyy. Really have to question the inability of our DC t adjust so now with enough time (a few days) I'm sure he's going to get it-- a safety at times must help Haley <-- that's must and when faced with these naked boots personally I'd corner blitz. Make the QB at least pay the price and see if he wants to keep going it.
Well this is going to go down in just a few days! With no linebackers this will be tough. This will really be a huge huge test for our Danny Boy. And this time without even the pretense of a running game I think we come out run and shoot and pass every down. Shurmer can get into a flow this way he really struggles on when to work the run in... I noticed a subtle difference in Jone's game they had him set at a 3 step drop against the Vikes that's how scared they were of outside pressure... but if you noticed the miss on the long ball to Step early that miss happened because the contact was made which would of been a step later in a normal drop and he overthrew to the left and forwards the very way he moved up!!! It's a small thing but with a normal 5 step drop Dany Dimes will steal your heart... and maybe eat it. ... ~si
