Play for lousy NFL organizations, with lousy players, with lousy coaches, with lousy GMs, and lousy Owners.
Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers would be unable to turn NY Giants and NY Jets into winners. Winning starts from top. Takes years to build winners. Takes years to climb out of deepest holes created by previous GMs and coaches.
If Owners and GMs are not winners, good luck creating success for just 1 season that is anywhere near level of 1970s Pittsburgh, 1980s San Francisco, 1990s Dallas, 2000s New England, and 2010s New England.
Jones and Darnold will be turnover machines. Young and still inexperienced. Most young NFL QB were, including Peyton Manning. Most veteran NFL QB are turnover machines.
NFL is diluted at QB position. Ryan Fitzpatrick somehow still has job. Fitzmagic makes football disappear from his offense. Presto! Opponent defense ends up with football.
Eli Manning completed 4 passes for 27 yards and threw 2 Interceptions in his 4th NFL start. Despite playing for 11-5 team, Eli Manning threw 4 Interceptions in 1 game in 2005.
Eli threw 4 Interceptions in 1 game during 2007 Super Bowl season. Eli threw 5 interceptions in 1 game in 2013. Eli threw 5 Interceptions in 1 game in 2014.
Eli was plagued by Interceptions and Fumbles during his 2nd or 3rd ballot Hall of Fame career. Expect more turnovers from Jones, Darnold, and other former NCAA QB "studs".
Jones and Darnold will never be as successful as Eli. Jones and Darnold do not have key talent on offense/defense and coaching staff that Eli enjoyed in 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2016.
Eli has been given every excuse for his performances from 2013 to 2019. Same excuses apply to Jones and Darnold. Only 2 to 3 times more, because @#!% organizations need total rebuild : new and improved owners, GM, coaching staff, players.
