Well it's cold and rainy thank goodness this isn't a home game. I wonder if the weather will be similar in Chicago this is tough sledding mentally.

Sharing negative feelings is healthy, if done with kindness and I think Giant fans have been very kind up until this point. Today is sort of a breaking point yet again extra time for Pat to prepare... it's really starting to feel like a LAME DUCK moment here... I'm a little surprised used to the DC being thrown to the sharks but I'm thinking Pat is in big trouble.
Take a risk. Some time ago, a senior executive asked a group of managers how they were feeling. There was silence in the room. I took a deep breath and decided to speak up. I was nervous — but I didn’t let my anxiety stop me from calmly and respectfully sharing my feelings. It opened the door for others to speak from their hearts and resulted in a verbal beat down of everything I stood for. Everything I said was reputed by a young snarky fellow in a turtleneck.
WARNING ECHOES
2019) ) ) 2nd day of mini camp and the Giants are already resting Engram-! This was a subsonic warning to all the sea animals... I mean DG had offers good offers for Evan and I don't think they will ever come again...
->Evan Engram didn’t participate in live drills on the second day of training camp. The Giants say they are managing his workload. WTF! 2 days.
WARNING ECHOES

When it came to the one-on-one drill between the cornerbacks and the receivers, the latter group won the competition hands down and it wasn’t even close. In fact, it was amazing to see how the receivers managed to separate against most of the defensive backs as often as they did.
Pat Shurmur praises Giants' revamped safety tandem early in OTAs
-Pat Shurmur pinpointed his starting safety tandem as two of the brightest spots on the roster during OTAs so far.
"They are doing a good job," Shurmur said of his projected starting safeties after the team's fourth OTAs practice. "You saw Antoine (Bethea) had an interception today. They communicate extremely well. They are very strong guys. Typically, one guy takes the lead on that, but they both can do it. When I watch, they are getting us in the right coverages and pressures. They are in the right spots and trying to play the techniques within the defenses that are called. That is the thing that you can work on this time of year defensively. All the communication. We are really pleased with where they are. It is only going to get better."
For Bettcher's scheme to operate at its peak, both safeties have to be capable of attacking downhill or dropping into the deep half of the field in coverage on any given snap. The premise of Bettcher's scheme is that pressure can come from anywhere -- any of the 11 defensive players on the field with the exception of the boundary (outside) cornerbacks who are rarely used to blitz and instead are relied on in man coverage (on an island). The Giants are confident the combination of Peppers and Bethea can fulfill this need in 2019 and the early signs in OTAs suggest they might be on to something.
Boy when wrong thinking manifests itself this way it's just so raw... Becher's whole defense relies on an area of NY Giant shortfall thanks to cowardly Dave Gentleman in hiding. Bethea really?

Giants DC Bettcher shows game film of one rookie to the veterans. Usually this is vice versa.
Ryan Connelly has made quite the first impression on New York Giants defensive coordinator James Bettcher. Earlier during voluntary Giants' OTAs, the 2019 fifth-round draft pick executed a play call so well that Bettcher was forced to do something unordinary after practice. The Giants' defensive coordinator cut up film of Connelly's execution and used it as a teaching point for the veteran linebackers on the Giants roster.
"You try not to show a rookie to the vets too early, but I was showing the cut-up to the vets,” Bettcher said earlier during OTAs, h/t NJ.com. “This is a guy from the rookie minicamp, and it was a concept and a route and he played it exactly the right way. It was a great example. Smart and tough.”
That told us two things didn't it... We had a diamond in the rough in Connelly and the Vets were dogging it from day 1.
Q: I’m sorry if this is a repeat, but as the training camp portion of this wraps up, do you have a message for your team?
A: No, not specific.
Shurmur reiterated after the team’s embarrassing loss to the Jets on Nov. 10 that he’s “seeing the things that will help us in the long run,” but wouldn’t elaborate on “things” in a postgame forum. This is sort of Pats problem in a nutshell he sees some things but he's not going to tell you... May the next coach be upfront and honest if nothing else. Lets not worry about how many church days the guy puts in a year and rather lets get a swearing, spitting honest monster in here please. this team needs to be woken.
"The challenge is to become more consistent in all areas.” Thanks coach.
Well here we are and here we shall make our stand. The players will ask themselves: is it time we reached our full potential and stopped making these errors. And the game plan... that plan molded over so many days off here... will it be explosive and dominating. Will Barkley run run run. Or is the O line too much to overcome.
Both teams have very shaky kickers! This time the side of right and mighty wins and their kicker misses at the last whistle and the NY Giants shock the world with
a hard fought 19-17 victory!~si
