It starts with the front office. Gettleman keeps trading valuable draft capital and getting poor players in return. His free agent signings and moves are terrible too. I read an article about Dodd’s from Seattle. Perfect fit. Great eye for talent and Seattle is very very good with all there offseason moves.
I do like Rivera as a coach. I like him better then McCarthy. The other coach I like is the head coach at Baylor Matt Rhule!
With free agency the Giants need to let players like Latimer, Thomas, Etc go. Ellison etc. adding RT Williams would be my priority to solidify the right side of the line. My next priority would be Center. I would go free agent route here because rookie sometimes takes time. Jenkins, Ogletree will walk along with Bethea. I would also try to trade Engram and see if they can get a 2ndor maybe a 3rd round pick for him. Getting our 3 back from the terrible Williams trade.
If Chase Young is not available when the Giants pick they really need to try to move back to a team that’s QB hungry. And grave a CB, WR or OT maybe ILB with that pick. Young is the only player that’s not a QB worthy of a top 5 grade. Let’s say Young gets picked. They can swing back around round 2 and add a ILB or FS that really can help this team. If Engram is traded with round pick go WR or corner They should have a compensatory pick end of round 3 too.
Fixing the Oline should still be top priority and pass rush too. There should be some budget Corners in free agency that can help us right away like Baltimore Jimmy Smith or Panthers Bradberry. They won’t Brahe the bank and give the Giants veteran corner that may not be top tier talent but consistent play back there. If Young is picked and Golden returns the Giants May have decent pass rush back there. Hardy Nickerson ILB would add decent Linebacker debth too if they can’t draft one. Solder will be here. To much dead money
