This was the first time I ever saw the Giants. I was 11 years old, and I had no interest in football yet unfortunately. I was hanging out with my friend at his aunt's apartment and she had the game on. I kind of remember seeing Bavaro catch a pass and run for some yards after the catch, and I asked who was playing. They said the Giants and Broncos. It meant nothing to me (how crazy it is now to imagine that). Later that night, I was home and getting ready for bed and I went down to the basement where my dad had the game on. He had a little side business where he made fishing lures and he had some machines down there and work desk and a little late 70s, early 80s style TV with the bunny ears. He had the end of the game on and I watched and I vividly remember seeing Parcells up on the shoulders and the screen said, "New York Giants. First NFL Title since 1956." And I said, "they're from New York?" and my dad said yeah, and I said, "Well that's my favorite team then. I like the Giants." I liked their colors and the "GIANTS" on the side of the helmet, and the fact they were from my state. I ended up not getting into football until 1988 and that was the first season I followed them. Been addicted ever since. Anyways, always funny for me to look back and think that there was a time in my life where the Giants were playing in the Super Bowl and I couldn't have cared any less. hahaha. I've seen it many times since then on VHS tape and DVD. Were any of you nervous when they were losing at halftime or were you confident they'd come out and take it to them in the second half?

rodney27: You're right about the fumbling problem, tl65taog. I just don't think it can be fixed. He had in preseason, has it at a record pace now, and had the same problem at Duke. If he hasn't fixed it in all that time...I just don't know if he can.

tl65taog: yes the fumbling problem has to be fixed, but you have to be fair about it
