This was just posted on the Giants news column:

Earlier this week, SNY’s Ralph Vacchiano reported that general manager Dave Gettleman is “in love” with Iowa offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs and we all know what happens when Gettleman falls in love.
Wirfs is the most athletic of the top 4 offensive tackles in the 2020 draft class but athleticism does not make him the best. If DG picks Wirfs over Thomas or Wills I will not be happy. I rated them after watching hours of film and I have:
#1 Andrew Thomas and Jedrick Wills deadlocked.
#2 Mekhi Becton
#3 Tristan Wirfs
All 4 could start at the NFL immediately. However Thomas and Wills need less coaching at the NFL level to polish them off whereas Becton and Wirfs have to be coached to change a lot of their tendencies and technique.
The only reason I have Becton over Wirfs is that he is so huge his size could offset some of his technical deficiencies.
I would take Thomas over Wills only because he's been playing mostly left tackle at Georgia while Wills was predominately a right tackle tackle at Alabama. If they do take Wills and stick with the underachieving Solder at left tackle I would be ok with that. Putting a tight end next to Solder to help him would be better if they do pick Wills.
This is music to my ears if there is any validity to it!
I have noticed I am in the minority here when it comes to Andrew Thomas. If you base your evaluations of an offensive tackle on the NFL combine results instead of watching film then you are missing something.
No the Giants cannot take Simmons and "coach up" their current POS offensive line.

However, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports that the Giants may actually prefer Georgia offensive tackle Andrew Thomas.
